I am a big fan of faceless video, and I'm glad it's a thing. I think that might be the only way I can do a YouTube channel. I am so introverted and I hide, lol. And I just cringe seeing myself in video, maybe it's like those actors who don't like to watch their own movies. I gave in and will do Zoom calls for one of my businesses, but that took a bit 😄.

So, I think you are off to a good start; this is a great first video! I would not have thought it was your first.

I know what most people are saying here.. and i completely get it.. yes.. you are the brand. Make videos with yourself in them and show that you are the brand.. practice etc..

I think what you have done here is good.. it is a good video.. it is clever.. all of it... and I am gonna side with you a little on this Michael... Because not all people have the confidence in themselves to make a video.. for some, it can completely frighten the life out of them...

I have made videos... and while I think I am really good looking :) ... I HATE my voice when I listen back to it.. it put me off for a long time!

I think the thing here is although it is an AI video... maybe people will be doing the same... and like Roy says... they will die out... but i can certainly see why you went to try it!

When I saw your headline, Michael, I thought that's great!

But my honest opinion is that is not really a faceless video, that's more of an AI video, which personally, I think are already dying a death! You are the brand, there is only one Michael, you are unique and I think you need to make the most of that, Michael, and not underestimate yourself.

I always think of a faceless video, of someone who has created a video, but they are talking on the video, but just not showing their face. There are also some successful faceless videos, but personally, Michael, it would be so much better if it was just you. Why not just practice making videos, you don't have to publish them, but it will help to get you comfortable in front of the camera. I genuinely believe that you have so much to give Michael and video could open up so many opportunities.

Just for your interest, Michael, and it's not against you, but if I was on YouTube, for example, and I saw this type of video, I would immediately turn it off, as I want to see the real thing.

Nice move, I have couple of faceless channels and for one of them I'm using AI. Embrace yourself for some 'AI slop' hate on YouTube. Just ignore it. YouTube algorithm loves AI, but you need to comply with newly updated Community guidelines.
