Fat Tug IPA Review and Why Beer with Kyle’s Return Feels So Good

Fat Tug
Fat Tug! Now we’re talking.
This one doesn’t sneak up on you. It kicks the door open, tracks mud on the floor, and dares you to complain.
First sip and boom. Hops.
Not the polite kind either. Big, punchy, grapefruit-peel bitterness with this piney thing going on that makes you feel like you just licked a Christmas tree. I mean that in a good way. I think.
Malt shows up right after, trying to keep the peace with a bit of caramel sweetness, but let’s be honest, the hops run the show here.
It’s thick. Heavy, and definitely not a lawnmower beer.
This is a sit-down, stare-into-the-distance, question-your-life-choices kind of IPA.
The alcohol warmth creeps in, too. You don’t notice at first, then suddenly your legs are like, hey Scott, maybe we should sit for a minute.
Burp.
Still grapefruit.
What I like most is that it feels deliberate. No confusion, no weird aftertaste that makes you wonder if your tongue is broken. Just bold, bitter, and very proud of it.
You drink Fat Tug because you want a little flavor to punch you in the face. And sometimes… that’s exactly what a day calls for.
Speaking of things I missed, Beer with Kyle being back?
Man. I didn’t realize how much I needed that until it returned. Sitting there with a beer, listening to Kyle talk shop, ideas, life… it kind of reset my brain. It reminded me why I like this whole online business world in the first place.
Community. Real talk. Not just dashboards and stats.
Also made me realize something else.
I really don’t like coffee.
I tried going back to it during the vlog drought. Thought maybe I’d become one of those focused, productive, coffee-in-hand people. Nope. Just ended up jittery, slightly angry, and wondering why my drink tasted like burnt regret.
Beer with Kyle comes back, I grab a proper brew, and suddenly the universe makes sense again.
Fat Tug in hand. Kyle on screen. Life is slightly less confusing.
Well, time for a shot.

Loved this. Bold beer, great writing, and Beer with Kyle being back just feels right. Fat Tug definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted.
Thanks for the review of "Fat Tug" Michael. It made me think of when I have drunk "Guinness", in a different way of course. Guinness is very "Woodsy" and made me feel like picking wood chips out of my teeth.

Maybe, sometimes, Michael.
I am still on the fence about it.
But I don't really care for the taste of beer. I will drink it, it has a place. I just prefer Hard Cider.

I agree - Beer with Kyle on a Friday night makes perfect sense - more sense than 'Coffee with Kyle'. But for me it tends to be touch and go and a bit of a debate - do I want to stay awake for it? And when I do - after listening to him for 15-20 minutes, I really am too tired to think of any sensible comments.
Geolocation is an issue for some. I am a couple of hours ahead of him as well, just not as far along as you.
After reading your post, I completely understand how much you enjoyed "Beer With Kyle". I always love to read every post from Kyle without fail and we all know it has loads of value.
