The Beginning of My Journey at WA!

It all started with a simple YouTube search. I, just like millions of others, wanted to learn how to create an online affiliate marketing business. I tried the YouTube route, but I always had a problem with being on camera, so I tried screen recorded videos. But being a full-time father, I found it difficult to have time to set aside for recording and editing videos.

Long story short, I found my WA referrer, his videos and website content is what truly inspired me. Plus WA offers a free starter membership without any payment info required, so I figured, what the heck, I can't lose anything just by giving it a look around. So I gave Wealthy Affiliate a super thorough look-around, and almost instantly came to realize the value and power that WA holds.

So I did the first module of the WA Affiliate Bootcamp training and I was instantly hooked! As soon as I had the money, I immediately upgraded to premium. Which takes us to January 3rd (6 days prior to this post).

My First Day as a Premium Member.

I was honestly super surprised at how many people left me encouraging comments and advice on my profile. The community here is truly second to none. Right away I went on to fixing up my first Siterubix website to make it look more professional.

Now that I had access to more themes and plugins as a premium member, I was able to make my website look extremely professional, check it out here ourpassivelifestyle.com and leave me some feedback below I'd truly appreciate it! I ended up transferring a domain I had previously purchased through 1&1 IONOS.

As I went through the training, I wrote my first Wealthy Affiliate review. I stayed up pretty late to get it done so that I can move onto the next lesson the next day. When I woke up in the morning with my kids, I checked my email and noticed I had about 15 emails from WA, 14 were some more awesome comments from my fellow members welcoming me. But I noticed one that was a little different, one I had never seen before.

It was approximately 9 hours after posting my first blog post, which was my WA review, and it was an email from Kyle that had said my website had been indexed by Google! I was ecstatic! I couldn't help but yell WHOOHOO! Kind of scared my kids, but it was well worth it LOL

I had read blog posts from other members saying that some of them had to wait a few months for Google to index their website, it literally happened overnight for me. Sorry if this sounds like a brag it was just a huge moment for me :D

Fast Forward to Now, My 6th Day Premium

My training is going amazingly, my website is looking, well the same but I just love it! I had to take a few days off from training but with no further delay I jumped right back in and wrote my second post, which is all about helping College Students make money online to help with their college debt.

I've also been reading other members training, I was reading 5 minutes ago about on-page SEO and how images need alt tags, and also Kyle's training on creating better content. I edited my WA review and my other post. And BAM! My college student post was indexed just a minute ago!! I don't understand why this is happening for me so quickly for me but it is truly amazing! The training here at Wealthy Affiliate really is world-class.

Now to just wait for Google to rank my posts. I know that's going to take time no matter what so I'm just going to continue on with my training and building out my website.

I am truly grateful that I found this amazing platform. When I first started with affiliate marketing I bounced around from platform to platform, program to program. But here at Wealthy Affiliate I truly feel at home. I am not going anywhere anytime soon!

P.S. I forgot to add that before WA, I had ZERO experience with building websites, writing conent and all that!
