Set document to language of choice
Hi all,
In the Word press Admin section is it possible to set language of preference? I want to change the English to (United Kingdom) because that is what I use in word.
When it comes to the coding bit I understand the web language is American English.
Does anyone know whether word press gives the flexibility to use the language of choice for writing and proof reading?
I am grateful for any help

Hi As usual the Word Press was program for Americans and didn't anticipate different types of the English Language. This would be a good question for Kyle. Maybe he can help you. Cheers Carolena
They have diferent plugins but t feels to me that everyone I just is not much better than Google translate, bit I tell you if I found another better one :)

Well, that is odd, I should think they would have language preference settings built in somewhere. I just went in and like you, could not find any options at all. I would also be interested to know the answer to this one. : / Best regards.

Sorry I can't help on this one. We Canadians I believe use a hybrid of both the American spelling and partially the English with a bit of French spelling in it as well. I guess as long as you get to your audience does it matter. Cheers Carolena

It is even getting more complicated. I know it is not a big deal which language but when I paste from work to word press that is when I see the spelling errors.

Hi, Terenzia.-My grandfather, your typical American Anglophile, says that one smart Bernard Shaw, once said that You Brits and Us Gringos are two great people, only divided by a common language! Though he doesn't look like Piers Morgan, grandad can sure put on a great imitation of Ol' Piers, particular when Piers takes on the NRA and my TX gun toting colleagues like Ol' Nugent. I've tried to learn "code" but my professor finally told me to try Cement Finishing. So, I don't know that English-UK is available and unless you can learn or already know "code", just stay with the Queen's English for now!
