Why I'm thankful I stumbled upon WA
Before W.A.
Just last August 2016, I attended a family finance seminar that motivated me in a big way to improve our financial situation. I don't really have too big a dream when it comes to this area but to be honest, there are people in my life who really need my help and I would like to do more for them.
You see, I have this journal on which I write down all my dreams, goals and related milestones. One of my simple dreams was to have my very own website. Prior to discovering WA, there were a couple of steps that I needed to do to make it come true.
- Finalize products
- Finalize list of suppliers
- Contact suppliers, cut a deal
- Find a website designer
- Find a domain host
- Come up with ideas on delivery system
- Come up with ideas on packaging
- etc.
Long before that, I already tried to partner with some local suppliers (I wanted to sell their stuff through the website); but things did not materialize. It seemed to me that things couldn't be as simple as I wanted them to be. Nevertheless, I was determined to accomplish each and every step necessary.
Ooops, Wrong Program...
While I was figuring out how to do all those, I came across an affiliate marketing program that offered free membership and training; which admittedly, seemed very attractive to me at that time. I immediately signed up and did all the “tasks” that I was asked to do. I spent days and days following the assigned tasks but it came to a point wherein I felt there was something wrong (I just couldn't put my finger on it). Despite that, I was still religiously doing the tasks required and was still setting aside a huge chunk of my time for it (because I was serious about my goals). After some time, when that uneasy feeling grew stronger, I searched for related reviews and finally, got enlightened. The person who did the review explained everything I needed to know in his article. He later on shared about Wealthy Affiliate and explained why it's the way to go. (Thanks, Rufat)
It's been a month now since I decided to go premium and I must say, so much has happened already.
Prior to discovering WA, I honestly thought that I'd need until December of this year for it to happen. With WA, I was able to jumpstart the website by focusing on the major stuff---niche selection, SEO, website building and content development (among others). Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the WA program--- the fact that my personal passion plays a big part in it, not to mention the comprehensive training and the helpful community. WA has made things very simple and delightful at the same time. I would never have thought that there was something like this.
It's not a bed of roses, though. I can see that. In my case, content-building is what I find most challenging. I am not rushing success. I know it's gonna come. I get inspired by so many of you. I have learned to take one quality step at a time and more than that, I have learned to enjoy the jouney and the wonderful company.
