I have to be honest
I haven't been as active as I want to in the community, Not that I don't want to be. I have every intentions of it, to help others if to help self. But i'm so focused on my website and my niche that all my time is consumed with the project at hand. I keep telling myself that when I get my website up and running that I will be back to help. But I realize that it's not the way that Wealthy Affiliate is set up. Its a community, In every sense of the word. It's a team effort! I get it know.
I plan on setting some time aside in my day to converse with members and being able to help anyone who needs it. (If I can help). Even if it's an hour or two per per day that would strengthen the community. I will be taught, and encouraged by other members who walk along the same path of wealth as I do. I am appreciative for Wealthy Affiliate, I plan on being a better team player.

You are right to focus on developing your online business...
Catching everything here and interacting too much will take valuable time away from what will make you a living long-term...
I have cycled between too much time here to not enough, to what I think now is a good balance...
The rankings here mean nothing when it comes to your business, and if you focus on that, it can slow you up in building that business...
On the other hand, the time I do spend here is valuable too....Every day I pick things up that I would not have known if not here to see them...
Whatever works best for you is cool with all of us here I think....

You are doing the right thing Tiffany by attending to your website. I find it is not easy to share the appropriate time between the community and my websites. The community is always here for you. So don't make it a worry :)
It definitely is difficult Tiffany. I have been with WA for nearly two years and I still struggle with getting the balance right. I don't mean to be negative, just letting you know it's normal ;)

Don't sweat it buddy. We've all got our routines and websites to focus on. Don't pressure yourself too much to be involved in the community when you're working on your site. WA is here if you need it.
Personally, I only very recently began taking an active part in my community. Before then I was watching the training, searching for answers to my questions and setting up my website. It was only when I got to a point where I was comfortable with the design of my website that I decided to get social on WA and help others out.
So don't worry about it. Nobody is going to penalize you for not taking part in the community :P It's encouraged that you do only for your own sake because there's so much knowledge and benefit in being involved in the community.
Take your time perfecting your site. It's your long term business so it's definitely a priority. Just remember to pop in and say 'Hi' over here every once in a while ;)

I have this same dilemma: I want to constantly work on improving my website, but I also want to be active in the community and help others out (if I'm able).
