Intellectual Property: Better Safe Than Sorry
My Wealthy Affiliate Blog Post of 20/07/2020, entitled "SEO Success, But ...", bears reference.
I am hereby providing a follow up about the tradename dilemma that I found myself inadvertently faced with. I had also discussed the issue privately with various people. I am sorry - maybe I am too anxious. But despite the overwhelming opinion that my said article would not put me in any tug-of-war, just over three weeks ago, I changed the title of the article.

Let us recap what had happened (names and title have been changed):
I am planning an article for my website.
I have a good idea what I want to write about, say, Wealthy Affiliate.
I do my keyword research on Jaaxy.com
I fancy the title "Wealthy Affiliate Is Absolutely Awesome". But Jaaxy tells me there is high competition for "absolutely awesome".
Jaaxy suggests "really awesome" has a low competition, with good traffic still.
So I go on and use Site Content to write and publish the article "Wealthy Affiliate Is Really Awesome".
Two days later, the article is at Number 1 on all the major search engines.
But then I soon realise that at Number 2 on Page 1, is the main article of a United States company called "Really Awesome" (reallyawesome.co.us)
Presumably, reallyawesome.co.us has been dislodged from the Number 1 spot by my article.

This really caused me a lot of unease, given all the legal trouble in the world in the past two to three decades. So, just over three weeks ago, I decided to play it safe and revisit Jaaxy.com
Jaaxy indicated that "simply awesome" is still low competition, good traffic. And I searched - there is no company called "Simply Awesome" online. (Once near-bitten, twice shy!)
So I changed the title of my article to "Wealthy Affiliate Is Simply Awesome", using WordPress.
The newly titled article took maybe 4 days to reach Number 1 of all the search engines:
And over the past three weeks, the article has remained steadfast at Number 1, on all the engines:
A few days ago, I happened to search once more about the company, "Really Awesome". Now, not only is this company big locally as I had sensed, but it's got branches THROUGHOUT the United States! And who knows, it could have presence in other countries!
I feel like I made the right decision to change the title of my article. I am safe. And the new title is fortunately cruising high.
I however noticed recently that the old title is still at Number 1, ahead of "Really Awesome" (reallyawesome.co.us), who have published a new promo for a range of their goods. This is beyond me, and is absolutely not my fault! I am at peace and tranquility ...

I don't think you can get into legal trouble for that. They can't have intellectual property over words.
I get what you are saying.
But I think that company are the ones who made "Really Awesome" trend on the internet. They are the ones who gave it the traffic.
So I decided to shy away.
It is cumbersome indeed. But I am so happy and relaxed now!
