My Domain Name
Hi Everyone,
I will start by thanking everyone that have sent there kind words in Welcoming. Now I am sure that we all agree that WA is the place to be.
I would also like to Welcome my grand-daughter no:2 in my Profile Picture 'Ava-Marie' to the family.
Two-three weeks ago, I bought a Domain from Namecheap. It was unbelievably cheap and easy to access. Today I have made WA my Nominated DomainNameServer. Apparently it can take up to 72 hours to become global. My Domain Name is seekgayleneve.site. If it doesn't do well I will purchase another Domain and use this one for something else.
At the time I came up with the name I asked the WA community what they thought. Unfortunately at the time I ended up in hospital and didn't get to see the input. As soon as I got out of hospital I went ahead and confirmed my Domain Name. So, here it is.
Let me know your thoughts, and anyone need help on anything, please don't hesitate to ask and I will definitely help if I can.
Your friend,
Gaylene aka Teacher-G

She is absolutely a doll. Pray now that you are out of the Hospital, all is ok, and your back to building your future. Best of wishes.
Thanks Gaylene for extending your help to everyone. Wishing you success here in WA. Good luck.
Hi Gaylene, Welcome to your beautiful grand daughter. I have 8 and 5 grandsons. Enjoy!
I don't think anyone can predict how a website will do. Your name is a bit offbeat but what you put on the site is what will count. Rarely do people actually search our site names. Try it. Who knows.
A beautiful welcome to your lovely grand-daughter Ava-Marie. You have chosen an interesting domain name. Give it a try. You might find it works very well. If the .com was available that might have been an option too.
Hi Gaylene it is good to have your own domain name it becomes your own piece of internet real estate , so when you get going it will appreciate . A good way to go is to think about how you are going to create a web site around your name and how you are going to monetise your internet real estate .

Thank You Alexander for your Wise Words. Definitely put your Wise Words into consideration. I like that... "Internet Real Estate".
I do understand what you are saying. I have actually thought about what my website would be named.Thought about it..that's as far as it gets so far :) That's why I was thinking of training with site rubik first while I try and Create a website name and Niche"
Cheers! Gaylene aka Teacher-G.
Hi Gaylene, first of all to welcome your grand-daughter, Ava-Marie, to a wonderful family. Also congratulate that you have bought your domain name and ready to build your website.
The name sounds fine, just wonder the reason you chosen the gtld .site instead of .com which is cheaper and recommended in one of the training here. Anyway, wishing you all the best and looking forward to visit your new website as unable to access to it yet.
Cheers,
Jan
Hello Ken,
OMG, everyone is asking that Question.
There was no strategy as you can see. I tried to get advice beforehand. To no avail.
I did think though, that there might not be as much competition as .com.... I don't know where seek came into it, but Gayleneve : last 2 letters is my married name abbreviated.
Maori gal gone wrong aye Ken ;)
Cheers! Gaylene aka Teacher-G
PS. at least it's getting attention hehe
Kia Ora Gaylene. (From a naturalised Kiwi!). I guess my question referred to what niche are you eventually going to be marketing to.
I actually use ste Rubik as a testing platform for my new webmasters. I just created domain let them go through my training program and when they graduate I delete the domain and create a new one for the next guy. I also use site Rubix for new clients. I just work all the stuff the way they wanted in the temporary Site Rubik domain and when they are ready to finalize I purchase a domain for them and transfer the temporary domain over to whatever domain name they want. this works for me. You should develop your own methodology
