What is Your Why?

Finding out what your why is will help drive you one step closer to success!

What got you here? I got here by searching the internet to make an extra income and start a business.

What were you looking for when you came across Wealthy Affiliate? Funny enough I'd come across Wealthy Affiliate several times before I joined up. I was actually looking at another make money online fast and get rich quick scheme so this time I decided to check it out to see if it was a scam before joining. Ha! It was a scam.

So I joined Wealthy Affiliate without really understanding what Wealthy Affiliate was. It was free. What did I have to lose? Wow! I was amazed. What a stroke of luck! I'd come across a platform that offered so many benefits on how to build your own business online with step-by-step training, webinars, blogs and this amazing positive 'like-minded' community that actually want to help and support you, 24/7, 365 days of the year.

You'd find it difficult to find that sort of help and support in the offline world starting a business by yourself.

Were you looking to make money online? Maybe something a little extra to help pay the bills or give your family more choices in life. Extra money to pay that student loan or help you through retirement, or help pay the mortgage.

Did you want to make an extra income? I was looking for an extra income to help pay the bills and create some savings. Try and get ahead and replace that 9-5 grind called a JOB - Just Over Broke. Then I started to dream bigger... there were other Wealthy Affiliate members really making a go of this. Wow! Successfully making money online and sharing their results and even teaching others how to do it. Working full-time on their online business. I started dreaming and thinking, well... maybe if they could do it, so could I...

Did you want to change your lifestyle? Yes, I wanted more time, freedom to travel and financial success. All I have to do is figure out how to do that. So Wealthy Affiliate offers me all of those benefits... It's a perfect fit of where I want to go. That's my why!

All these questions will help you find your why, your drive and your motivation. Your why will keep your persevering when you don't feel like it.

There is no overnight success. It will take time, effort, persistence and will power to keep going. Keep reminding yourself everyday of your why. You may find it motivating when you are lacking in motivation.

What's next? If you have found your why all you need to do next is to make a commitment and choose a time frame. There are members on Wealthy Affiliate that make money online within a few months, even 3-6 months. Others grow their business to $10k+ per month in 2 or 3 years. Some even make way more money per month than that.

I've made a yearly commitment so far. But, you know what? I'm in it for the long haul. If it is going to take me 2 or 3 years to earn that extra $10k per month then I'm just going to have to set that as my goal. Set little milestones of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year etc

Have you figured out yet how long is your commitment? This is not a get rich quick scheme. This is not a scam where you invest hundreds even thousands of dollars and end up with nothing. Wealthy Affiliate is a real business opportunity on how to make money online and it's all legit.

I do have to confess it hasn't been easy. I've had my stops and starts. Even from a sales and marketing background I've got stuck on feeling overwhelmed by so much new knowledge, the training, webinars, learning new terminology and even had to fight the fear of failure or maybe it was the fear of success.

Do you know what the secret is? The secret to get through this is to push yourself forward by taking action. I'm even finding blogging can be fun!
