1 Month Into The SAC
I'm still working hard at my SAC tasks for Month 1. It's a little over a week before the Month 2 tasks are assigned.
I've found my biggest difficulty is writing enough words in my posts. The goal for Month 1 is to write 12,000 words. I'm at nearly at 8,000 - which seems like a lot for me, but it's only 67% of the goal.....
I've decided that I struggle because I naturally don't talk very much. I hate small talk and normally just don't do it lol!
Anyone agree or know what I mean?
So I'm forcing myself to talk AND write more! I can overcome my aversion to expressing myself. Here I go!
Short post, but I'm off to write 4,000 words! :)

You're doing really good on the SAC! The writing will get much easier. I'm like you... I don't talk a whole lot to people. Maybe more to myself (LOL).
After you write your 4,000-word post, you'll be amazed by how many words you'll start adding from that point on.

I read your post with interest. Well done for getting as far as you have and come the 20th just remember you are that much further than you were.
I was particularly interested in the 12,000 word goal thinking it was set by the homework but gather from the screen shot this is your goal for your 12 articles?
I would prefer that it was the set homework goal because I have exceeded the word count but in terms of number of posts I am way behind you.
Unlike you I talk a lot - can you tell?
But here's an idea for you.
If you don't talk much you will have plenty of space in your head with thoughts zooming around. Write the thoughts down - exactly as you talk to yourself in your head. Just put them down on paper.
Bring on month 2 - but not too soon.

You made me laugh! You're right - there are a lot of thoughts zooming around. I just need to catch them - I'll write them down more often! Thanks for that suggestion.
I understood the assignment was 12,000 words and 12 articles. I aim to get 1,000 words per post, but have been noticing many people can write tons of content easily and I want to be able to also!
You'll get there - just don't get despondent.

On second thought you may have no space in your head as the thoughts are all stuck in there trying to get out ...
Good Luck, try to relax as you write, it is amazing sometimes how words just seem to come when you least expect them.

Ok, great advice, thank you. I will do that and it's probably a good idea to quit checking the word count so frequently too :)
Must confess that is one thing that I never do is check the word count until I have done quite a lot of writing, it puts me off, as I think is that all!!

At the beginning I also had difficulty to write long posts. But I found that when I plan the post meticulously, I easily achieve the word count. I even find myself going beyond my planned word count.
