Twitter Day 8 Update
This will be short again. At the end of 8 days on Twitter here are the stats:
Still not much traffic to my site from Twitter. Only 1 click through today! Awful!
Of course I was not active on Twitter at all today so maybe that isn't surprising?I got a few more likes and retweets which is great.
Onward and Upward peoples!

You are doing great Jessica .. heres the things, this is a longterm project and you will need 10's of thousands to start seeing a significant impact.
I know it is not Twitter, but we are now at 650 followers on Instagram and we have received our first enquiry .. I am excited.
Facebook likes/followers are over 13,000 and the target it 25,000 by Christmas. We started Facebook promotion in last quarter of 2014 so it has been a two and a half year project so far. 13,000 just brings in a trickle of enquiries every month.
Just trying to give you some perspective :)
Cheers, William.
I really appreciate those real numbers William. Thank you!
I guess I am just comparing it to my results with Flipboard last year. I got a lot more traffic to my site so it seemed to have a higher click-through rate. I also got sales from that traffic. I wonder if Twitter and these other social media platforms have lower conversion rates and therefore are a less productive place for us to spend our time. Too early to tell though.
I get no traffic from Flipboard now but I don't spend any time on it so that is not too surprising. Just trying to figure out the best use of my time. I get some organic traffic most days so I wonder if I should just be focusing on writing content now...I don't have time to do all of the above now so I am trying to be as efficient as possible. I think it is good to get Twitter brewing and then focus on writing more posts.
Thank you!
Jessica
I think Flipboard is a "one-off" situation. I am not an expert. My thinking is that it is all "horses for courses". Some platforms work well for some niches and not for others. And also for some businesses inside each niche but not for others. It also depends on the actual content you put on the platform.
You have a very pretty clean website .. I love it.
Maybe do some research and try and find out what successful people in your niche are using for social media and access how it seems to be working for them. Maybe Pinterest might be a solution .. or youtube.
Cheers, William.
Thanks again William. I need to pull myself away from all of it for the next two weeks. Clock is ticking down to our deadline to move.
Do you mean you still don't get much traffic to your website from Twitter? That is disappointing.
I remember other people explaining that some social media sites seem to have better conversion rates than others. I can't remember if Twitter was one of the low conversion sites. Have you seen that?

Hi Jessica,
Things are moving up, that's good. Don't worry about the clicks, more will come. Have a good day, take care my friend.
Mary
Thanks Mary.
