No progress here, big gathering of work friends in our new place.
My traffic has been lower and I have had no sales in the last few days. My husband has a group of co-workers (the officers he dispatches) who get together for game nights. We hosted this group yesterday for the first time. Of course we are in a two bedroom apartment now so it was crowded. Including us we had 13 people, a baby and the three cats here! Crazy! My husband's parents were in town also and came by earlier in the day.
I had been sick last week and am just getting better. I didn't get enough sleep the night before and just totally wore myself out yesterday. So today I was exhausted, had a headache all day (no I didn't drink at all...just sick) and couldn't do anything. I am very dissapointed by this since it was sunny and a gorgeous fall day with golden leaves everywhere and there is so much I want to do before winter! We seem to be on track to have an early winter this year. It will be getting down into the 30's Fahrenheit at night this week!!!
My Mom wanted to go out to the cabin (my home where I grew up) this weekend but I am just not up to it and I need to be healthy enough to get to work tomorrow since I have no leave left.
I am not panicked about my lack of website traffic, I am just too tired. I am sure it will pick up again...it always goes up and down. Since I had such a high traffic day on Friday I won't worry too much!

I am so sorry to hear that you still aren't feeling well. Maybe you should see a doctor, this has been going on for a few weeks now.

It isn't one thing. It has been a series of colds, flus etc that go through the office. It hasn't been just me.
Yes, I need to pick up all that again. I have auto-immune problems that make me vulnerable to all the bugs that come along sometimes. There are no cures for auto-immune diseases yet. You can only manage the symptoms, try to boost your immune system (though that is difficult since the immune system goes crazy and attacks our own bodies resulting in problems like my bursitis etc due to inflammation). I take a ton of supplements for various problems already and have been to many doctors. None of them can pin down what I have exactly or how to treat it other than the regular doctors wanting me to take scary pharmaceuticals that suppress the immune system that I said no to since they can cause leukemia and my Dad died of leukemia so I am not willing to take that chance. They also can make regular infections deadly and I have a chronic infection from a virus so that probably wouldn't be smart either...it goes on and on and I just took a break from doctors for awhile.
Glad you are starting to feel better.. And no worries about your traffic--it will get better. Everyone was probably out enjoying the last weekend of summer.

Yes, it was crazy. The baby was only 12 days old but didn't mind all the noise! It was the first time we had a group here in our new place.
That scenario reminds me a bit of my days when I worked for the fire department and a lot of us would get together at times! And girl--those guys put away some food, I tell ya'!
Hi Jessica, we all have those days when we need to just get some rest, catch up with friends and family and well, you name it!
I wouldn't worry too much either about the traffic on your site, mine goes up and down all the time too. Anyways, on the plus side of winter coming, which I really am not looking forward to btw, at least people will be more likely to be indoors and online...more potential traffic and sales!

Yes, that sounds good. Thank you. I have just been exhausted due to my health problems (auto-immune, and catching all the office bugs), moving this spring and settling into a new home, and being really busy at work as well as having a ton of family and friend obligations this summer like weddings and helping parents.
You have to live your life Jessica. I used to worry about not posting enough or not being active enough on my site, but now I take time off when I want. I took the last 2 weeks off because my Mum was here from the UK.
Nothing much is going to happen in 2 weeks. In any case, we have to live our lives. It's not good for the soul working too hard without a break.
Thanks Craig. I am just frustrated since I get some momentum and great things happen and then I get busy and it all screeches to a halt...over and over and over.

Jessica, I get the impression you had too many worries lately. Even if things seem to have sorted out now you still suffer the effects of having had too much hay on your fork.
