Another question... I want to add pictures of different cell phones for sale, kind of like the snack football helmet site that was used as an example in the training. Is it ok to use photos from Amazon for the phones. I want to have a "Visit site" link that goes to various sites for purchase. It would be great to have a buy now link that would allow people to purchase right from my site, but not sure how to set this up.
only use amazon images they supply when you sign up - all other images are copyrighted.
you will need to find the images wher you intend to send people.
i hope you have done some research into the cell market and have a good angle no one else has covered.
it is a very competative market.
if you want to sell phones from say aliexpress then you could use woo commerce and setup a dropshipping site.
but have an angle no one else has.
Do you have any idea who did the football helmet snack website. Maybe I can get some insight from that person on how to set mine up:)
i did reply but lost it
search under live training for football snack helmets and you will fing the episode
it might be worth trying to narrow your niche to first time users of phones - so simple ones and showing them how to operate them.
so cell phones for the over xx's.
good luck Suzanne with your venture.
use it as a training site to go through the course - while going through it you may have an inspiration.
just remember the mot successful shops are the ones that solve the most solutions. so look for problems you can solve and forget about the money at the start.

I realize I am a complete novice at this...but how do you make money from offering helps without the person visiting your site buying anything?
If you are talking about how credits are earned here in WA, you can earn some money by offering Site Comments on other websites. That takes a lot of time though, for very little money, in my opinion. I use my credits for having others give comments on my website, for new pages or posts. You can spend a ton of time here, and work your way to Ambassodor status and get credits, which can be redeemed for cash too. Again, it's just my opinion, but if you want to be successful with your own website, you need to be spending most of your time there.
Sometimes when the Servers here in WA are slow or the Internet is slow, your editing won't be saved. It's happened to me many times. I am finding that WA is very sluggish today, I gave up working on my website earlier because of it. I could take naps inbetween! What I have done when things are wonky in WA, I quickly copy and paste content over to WORD so at least my content is saved. Keep trying.
no idea, but when I can't save, I copy and paste so at the minimum, my hard written content is saved somewhere. I use WORD a lot.
i agree - but if it is in blocks can you copy all of them or is it each block.
i tend to write offline and then paste online.
I only converted to Guttenberg today, as I was getting notices that I was going to have no choice by April! I waited, because when it first came out, it almost broke my first website. I converted both of my websites today, and so far so good. It was very slow going with the speed or lack of speed that I was getting from my Dashboard.
I built a new website a few weeks ago, my third here and it is an updated WordPress version 5.1 (Guttenberg). I had no trouble using it as it's similiar to a Weebly site that I've had for years. I copied and pasted from my Weebly site, into my new Gutenberg site but have not experimented yet in copying from Guttenberg to Word.

I am working on creating a site that is set up like the football helmet snack that was highlighted in the training.
I have created a post for items for sale under a brand
make a new page called home page - point your home page setting to that .
easiest way to copy te post is to go to the text edit tab and copy the html and paste it into another post - then edit it to what you want .
you can log into your site two or three times and have the windows displayed side by side to make thing easier.
good luck with your online journey
