What's Your Number One Focus for 2020?

The new decade is here!

Have you put together Resolutions or Goals for the new year and new decade?

I'm a goal person. Resolutions to me are just decisions to do or not to do something. For example, a resolution is... "I'm going to lose weight this year." As opposed to a goal... "I'm going to live a healthier life style. To do so I'm going to eat more plant base (look up recipes), exercise 3 time a week (yoga or Pilates) and stretch for 10 minutes each day. My goal is to lose five pounds a month. I'm doing this to feel more energized."

But, What is Your Focus?

Mine, is Mindfulness or Being Mindful.

Mindfulness. What is it?

Per Wikipedia, "Mindfulness is the psychological process of purposely bringing one's attention to experiences occurring in the present moment without judgment..."

My focus is to be more mindful, be more present, in everything I do. What does that mean and how will that work...

- When someone is speaking I'm going to truly listen. I'm going to resist the urge to think of my to do list or shopping list. I'm going to actively listen so I truly understand what the person is saying.

- When I'm doing research I going to focus on the research. I'm not going to click on something, some shiny object, and get sidetracked.

- When I'm writing content, that's the only thing that's going to be on my screen. I'm not going to have anything up on the other monitors. No more clicking on WA dashboard and getting distracted by a new post or what's going on in LiveChat.

I'm going to practice being present in everything I do.
