wW4+ Years at Wealthy Affiliate
It's been 4 years and some change since I started with Wealthy Affiliate. One thing that keeps me here are the tools the platform offers. I get my hosting, domain, site builder and keyword research tool.all on the site which saved me money from having to different websites to buy them.
Not to mention all of the modules and videos I can go to if I need more info on something or want to learn something new. It really does have everything for affiliate marketers.
But, affiliate marketing can be tough because so many people are building websites. In hindsight I think building a niche that's not too popular and has a lower audience is the key to success. Sure the traffic might be lower but those who come to your website are looking for something a little more specific and hard to find.
I have met many good people and have even got small side jobs writing content for websites and that covers my membership.
The four years has gone by pretty quick but having a small affiliate business allows me time to work at my own pace and go and fish, bike and do stuff I wouldn't be able to having a full time job.
I've seen many people come and go here and that is unfortunately the way the ball rolls. But if you have the time and means to wade through the early stages it's well worth sticking it out here. And it doesn't all have to be money but it's cool when you make that sale and you realize that you did it yourself.
Peace and stay safe.

Congrats on the four year mark. There's no question that some niches have a lot of competition. Choosing one that is less popular might be the better choice.

Hey Erica! I remember you from a while back. I do think niches with little competition is a better choice but websites with some longevity have a good chance even with more traffic and competition.
Very powerful and encouraging. I do agree with you about a smaller niche with low hanging fruit keywords.
The traffic will be consistent and very targeted. Thanks for sharing.
