Hello, my good friends at WA!

Tonight, when my trusty alarm clock sounded, I awoke with a quote in my mind from a recent movie I saw. For those who aren't familiar with the Iron Man movie series, it follows the life and exploits of Tony Stark, a brilliant engineer and inventor, he creates a suit that allows him to fly and become a superhero.

At the beginning of the movie series, he's a heel, a real jerk, and he gradually grows and becomes more responsible through the series.

At the beginning of Iron Man 3, there's a flashback to the beginning of his career, years ago, when another brilliant inventor, Aldritch Killian, is seeking a meeting with him at a tech conference of some kind. Tony tells him to go to the roof, where he will meet him there, even though he has no intention of showing up.

Later in the movie, when our hero Tony Stark, has been captured by Killian, who has himself become powerful thanks to an invention of his own that gives him superpowers, there's an exchange between our hero and Killian.

Tony tries to apologize for standing Killian up years ago, and Killian says, "No, I want to thank you, Tony.. You gave me the best gift and man could receive... Desperation."

I've decided after much soul-searching, to leave Wal-Mart and focus solely on this business with all my heart. I know now that WA works, I know it in my bones, but it's hard to make it succeed when I'm so worn-out and beat down by my Wal-mart job.

I'm not sure when it will happen, but the Wal-mart job makes me depressed, and I'm tired of it, I'd appreciate any feedback you have.

P.S. I had the tv on in the other room, just broadcasting white noise, and guess what just happened to come on while I was writing this? Iron Man 3!! I view that as providence...

Hey BenORourke has your answer.............................................

I think you are not here long enough yet. I would like to do this full time also, but now is not the time.

Change your attitude to your job and appreciate it for giving you the money needed to start your own business.

Sometimes a little mind shift can help, and you can then look forward to quitting when your online income has grown to replace it.

Set a goal for a year from now and keep working on your site as best you can.

Wishing you the best of luck - and keep that end date in mind!

I don't know your finances, but I do know Walmart. If you are ready then pick up the pace. This is not a quick fix situation but it is the solution. Congrats on your decision

Hi Scott, I don't know what position you are in financially, but if you are in a position to get by without income coming in, go full steam ahead, if not think very carefully. Will you be able to keep up your monthly subscription to WA (unless you have a yearly subscription)? Will you be able to cover any other outgoings that may be incurred in building a successful online business? If the answer is no, then without a job and WA, (as far as I know, you can't go back to being a free member once you have been a premium member), to put it bluntly: "You 'aint goin' nowhere, as building an online business doesn't happen overnight unless you have some rich benefactor who'll build it for you.

Think of building an online business as being in a dark tunnel. there's a glimmer of light that seems a long way away, but as you progress through the tunnel that light gradually becomes larger, brighter and more accessible till you walk out into the daylight.

Have you thought of securing some sort of part time position before leaving Wal-Mart? This will at least give you some form of income and more time to concentrate on building your online business.

Whatever you decide Scott, may I wish you every success in the future.

I'm up at 4.30am home by 6.00 pm and I drive all day in city traffic and I'm starting not to like it .Patience my friend. There are a lot of us out there who do things we do not like but we have to survive. Keep your eye on that small light. It will I promise you get bigger as time goes on. Just make one rule. To get on WA every day even if its only for a short time. Patience and small steps win the race!

I too am depressed with the Wal-Mart job, but have to stay there for a bit longer till my online business takes off. Best wishes with this decision. :)

It sure sounds like providence to me, BUT and that's a bit But, you have to weigh up the pros and cons of making such a big decision.

Developing a website and getting it established takes time. It could be months or even a couple of years before it becomes truly established. While you are working hard for that to happen you still need to live and have an income.

Maybe, it would be wise to find another job in the meantime until your online business matures

Only my thoughts.

Lis.

Way to go....full speed ahead!

Keep in mind that WA is not an instant income. Often it makes sense to maintain your current income while you get this started.

My very best to you. That's a leap of faith.
