Weekly Business + Creative Diary - WEEK 2 at WA - Learnt Lesson: SECURE YOUR DOMAIN!
Only two weeks since I subscribed to WA Premium.
And this is what happened:
BUSINESS SIDE
- I registerred the first domain "Flowerence Paperie" for the website about Personalized Gifts
- Learned how to choose and buy a domain (and how its value increases with time), I researched and found the perfect domain for my other business. Fun story about this: one of my wannabe competitors (Lol!!!) decided to buy this domain for starting selling fabrics and when she told me she bought it, I wanted to faint, because it was MY domain that I had to release in the time I was healing for my back injury. So, when I found the domain was free again, I jumped on it and secure for myself! It was a big victory for me!!!
- My rank in WA increased so fast and now I am in the top 200!
- Wordpress themes almost chosen (not completly sure yet)
- First website ranked in Google!
- Wordpress training started > the goal is to open the online shop for BOTH WEBSITES within this week!
- Making the first great friendships here in Wa, and outlining the first collaborations!
CREATIVE SIDE
- Created all the graphics for the new collection of Mother's Day Cards & Gifts (25 designs)
- Created 5 target avatars for designing a pinterest social campaign where each pin will be created according to the avatars major interests
- Created the first 8 products on Zazzle for the new collection (8 of 450!!!! camon!!!!)
- Created the new collection + banner and cover
- In the meanwhile, snapped all the pictures for the fabrics' brand new spring collection
Writing down each week my activities, goals, ups and downs is my way to keep myself motivated and responsible not only towards myself, but towards this wonderful community which already changed my life in two weeks only!
Getting back my domain has been - as Kyle said in his video about registerring a perfect domain which incorporated the niche of your business - a "sign that all the planets are aligned" :))) and yes all the planets were aligned for me!!
I feel a super blessed person to do what I love for working, but passion and talent needs so much focus too.
So, my main goal for this week is "FOCUS".DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME IN THOUSANDS THINGS. JUST FOCUS!!!

My wife uses scamorza cheese instead of mozzarella. That's how my mother used to make her lasagna. Is that how you do it?

No Frank, we use mozzarella, not scamorza for lasagna, but I think it depends on your personal taste!
I like scamorza affumicata which has a stronger flavor so for not overcoming other ingredients' flavors, I prefer using mozzarella, it is more delicate :)
Scamorza cheese Frank? You'll be surprised to hear I have never heard about this, but I will certainly replace the mozzarella with it the next time I whip up a quick lasagna!!

I'm not sure what a "scarola" veggie is but I am up for giving anything a try... unless it's too spicy that is!! :-)
"scarola" is a green salad but instead of eating it fresh, you cook it with olive, onion and some other ingredients to fill a salty cake! it us a typical recipe from Napoli!

Yeah, it's good both ways, and the scamorza is hard to get where we live, so sometimes we make it with the mozzarella. 😎
We viewed a 90% total eclipse, Nick, and it was spectacular! The party is later on tonight. 🥳

Yeah, if you can find the scamorza cheese, then give it a try in the lasagna. I prefer it because I was brought up eating it that way.
Haha, those are special "eclipse glasses," Romy. The lenses are so dark that you can't see anything through them unless you look directly at the sun.
Now, I can't use them again for another 20 years, and I'll be 90 years old if I'm even still around! Lol

I did have a guitar in my hand, but Stacy took the photo without it. The glasses totally block out everything except the sun, so it was like being blind with them on. Lol
We had a great time, and I tried the Singapore Sling. Awesome, but too strong for me! Lol 🤣
