What I've learned so far after joining - Newbie mistakes
It was pretty confusing, I had no idea what I was doing! Here it goes.
I bought a domain with a web host package from 1and1 for .99 for 1 year.
Somehow managed to move it over to WA by viewing Kyle's video on dns pointing
Went to go edit, but the editing page was not WordPress! It was 1and1's web editor.
Shortly after I realized I didn't need a web hosting service because I could just use WA's without paying extra monthly fees. Maybe this was the reason I couldn't edit on wordpress?
I got frustrated with myself and called 1and1 to cancel everything. I didn't care about my domain anyway since there wasn't any content anyway. I just wanted to start over. But she got me to just keep my domain only and she canceled the web host package.
After about a day, my website was back on Wordpress editor but the problem is that my website has gone live already. Haha...can you tell how confused I was? Now I get it!! It's all connecting together slowly...now I just need to connect the other billion pieces together. Well you gotta start somewhere right?

Welcome to WA and the community here. I can tell you from experience that you can ask any question. If you don't phrase it right someone will ask you more questions until they and YOU will understand the issue. This has happened to me many times already. Sorry to hear about your frustrations. I wish you much luck in your journey and don't worry it will just be a matter of time and you will catch on to new things daily.

Well yes but don't struggle you have all the expertise here on WA waiting to help you, just ask! It can be a bit overwhelming at first but once it all clicks together you will soon become an old hand at it and giving advice to others! Trust Me!

Yeah sometimes I can just have a mental block...I got it after few minutes looking at the site...but if I see a link I just gotta click it u know or I'll just die of curiosity. haha
When I first started out I didn't know much of anything. You're in the right place to get on the right track. Thanks for sharing your lesson -- it will be helpful to someone else. All the best to you.

I hear you - you can have the best training instruction (which is here at WA :)) and still, it takes some trial and error things start to click. Hang in there, because it does get easier!!

yeah keep going on! i am like so confused on my niche and i don't know if i should continue my niche but its always great listening to so many advises from the experienced members here.
Thanks Jay, coming up with my niche took the bulk of my time. I created and deleted so many sites here. I even bought one and canceled after few days. How hard it is! But let's keep on going! Wish you all the best!
Wow good to know I bought the 1 and 1 pkg for the same price back in August 2013 to design a website for some mad idea I had, following another wanna be WA org and named it wontgobroke.com. Well I'm kinda of stuck with it Ugh! However I haven't moved my site over yet so your post is quite insightful.
i love the name wontgobroke. You should really do something with it. All the good ones are taken! I'm glad you could somewhat find my confusion helpful lol. But yeah move it over and take advantage of the 99 cents offer.
