Dear WA Family,

Happy Day!

We all know the importance of reading books. We read books to learn new things (skills), to improve ourselves, to rise above, and the list goes on.

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies . . . The man who never reads lives only one.”

that I didn't read/complete any book last year (I did read my Bible, but I'm not including that

Last Year 2025:

I'm sorry to say that I didn't read/complete any book last year (I did read my Bible, but I'm not including that). I started reading a few books, but never finished one (my bad).

“The man who does not read good books is no better than the man who can’t.” - Mark Twain

This Year 2026:

I'm planning to complete at least one book per month.

12 books for this year.

“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” – Jim Rohn

The Book I'm Currently Reading:

Currently, I'm reading "The Millionaire Fastlane" by M.J. DeMarco. I'm enjoying it. Many people recommended it, so I decided to give it a try. I have completed 30+ pages.

“There’s a profound difference between interest and commitment. Interest reads a book; commitment applies the book 50 times.” ― M.J. DeMarco

“Stop thinking about business in terms of your selfish desires, whether it’s money, dreams or “do what you love.” Instead, chase needs, problems, pain points, service deficiencies, and emotions.” ― M.J. DeMarco

Which Book Are You Currently Reading?

If it's okay for you... May I ask...

Which Book Are You Currently Reading?

Are You Planning To Read A Certain Number Of Books This Year?

Starting back in January 2025 I bought a brand new Prophecy Study Bible, New King James Version, because I've begun studying end times prophecy since Covid in 2020.

Everyday after morning prayer I read 2 to 3 chapters. Normally I just randomly pick a spot and start from there. However, now that I want to gain more Wisdom, I started at Genesis 1.

Currently I am at Ezekiel 21 and there is not much more left to the Old Testament. It has been a huge blessing in both Wisdom and Understanding into the significance of Israel in end times.

This will help me to spring into the next book I intend to start reading once I end the Old Testament and start the New Testament. The title of this new book is: The Fall & Rise of Jerusalem by E,G. White.

1

Thanks, awesome! New Year Night Service, I preached on the topic "Preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ". Indeed, we are in the end times.

Really, I'm planning to start from Genesis. Trust me, I started like this at least 10 times LOL. But this time I'm seeking God's guidance to complete the whole bible without any deviation. If I complete this time, I believe it will mark my 4th time completing reading the whole bible.

Thanks a lot for the valuable information and inspiration.

1

My pleasure Paul. This will be my 5th time through from Genesis to Revelation.

Even though it is easier this time, it still gets very boring when going through Leviticus and Numbers, where it talks about the construction of the sanctuary. But I made it a point to get through it.

I'm glad I did because I learned that the sanctuary is the blueprint to the plan of salvation and each area and the furniture used have a significance pointing towards Jesus.

May you be blessed as I was in your journey through the Second Best Selling Book in the World of All Time.

1

YES... Numbers, OMG please help me lol...

5th time is awesome!

You are right! Leviticus is the typology for JC and everything points towards JC only. Everything has a deep meaning. On the Leviticus here (Tamil Nadu - India) they conducted an exam and I got Gold medal by Gods grace that's the reason I'm not complaining about Leviticus LOL but I agree with you.

One doubt sir... I'm preaching and many are saying Bible is the number one best selling book in the world but |I noticed you mentioned second. So I might be wrong in saying that...

May I ask, which is the number one best selling book for my knowledge only I'm asking...

Thanks in advance!

1

The Bible is the best singular selling book in the world (6 Billion Copies). When I looked last year, the Quotations From Chairman Mao Tse-tung along with all of its printed volumes was (6.5 Billion Copies).

1

Thanks a lot for this information! I appreciate it!

Good morning Paul,

That's a great blog post and great question to ask, Paul, because reading is such a great thing to do and such a great way to learn! I tend to buy more audiobooks, as I listen when I'm driving or sometimes working, depending on what I'm doing. My bookshelves got filled up quite a few years ago, so since around 2009, I will either purchase books on Kindle or Audible, which is part of Amazon.

I read a lot of Christian books and also educational books, often these books have been recommended by solid people. I also read the Bible daily and sometimes several times in a day, depending on what I'm doing.

I will list some of the books that I have read in the last 12 months, they are not in any particular order.

The Bible, which I read daily plus!
Believers authority – Andrew Wommack
Virtual freedom – Chris Ducker
Rich dad's cash flow quadrant – Robert Kiyosaki
Flowing in the supernatural – Greg Mohr
Procrastinate on purpose – Rory Vaden
Mantles past and present – Roberts Liardon
Building a non-anxious life – Doctor John Delony
Smith Wigglesworth – devotional
A mustard seed – devotional – Angus Buchan
This Present Glory – Doctor Rodney Howard Browne (a fantastic read)
Raise your visibility online – Louise Brogan
I never learned to doubt – Jesse Duplantis
If I had two lives – Dan Vorm
Immediately improve your happiness – Jonathan Shuttlesworth (a fantastic author and preacher)

I could list more, Paul, but these are some of the books that I have read and listen to in the past 12 months.

All the best.

Roy

4

Wow! Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment.

The list you have provided is very helpful. Really amazed at your reading skill. Trust me, it inspired me.

Very happy and excited to know that you read a lot of Christian books. If you don't mind, can you please give me a few recommendations on that please?

2

That's a great list, Roy.

'If I had two lives' is intriguing. I'd like to have two lives...
And some of your other titles are worth exploring too. I'll look them up and may also add them to my Audible library. Thanks for sharing.

Isabella

2

Indeed, that list is very helpful.

2

Hello Paul

It's a pleasure, Paul, especially as I like books, I think most people should read, it's so very educational and we can learn so much.

Regarding Christian books, Paul, I can give you some recommendations, there are so many and I guess that different people will have their personal favourites. But I will list a few authors.

Andrew Wommack (a great teacher of the word)

Doctor Rodney Howard Browne (the present Glory is a brilliant book, but he also has great books on current affairs, but using Christian principles)

Kenneth Hagin (the believer's authority and many more books)

Smith Wigglesworth (famous British healing evangelist)

Angus Buchan (South African farmer of Scottish descent and evangelist, check out the film "Faith like potatoes", it's brilliant)

Jonathan Shuttlesworth

Reinhard Bonnke (Living a life of fire, plus many more books)

Roberts Liardon (God's general's are brilliant, but Roberts also has loads of other books, which are all very good.) I know Roberts Liardon, as he was the principal at the Bible school that I attended.

Amir Tsarfati (Amir is excellent on end time prophecy)

John Hagee

Barry Bennett

Brotherly Yun (The heavenly man, a great book, but he also has more books)

The list could go on, Paul, but I will leave it at that for the moment. The good news is that most of these people can also be found on YouTube.

I hope you find this helpful.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Roy

2

Wow! Thanks a lot!

I'm making a note of it, and I will check on this list again. Thanks a lot for those recommendations. Means a lot to me. I assist my Pastor in Church (preaching in Church and prayer cells), and I'm doing ministry (serving God). So this is very helpful.

I'm starting my website and YouTube channel as well (preaching the word of God).

A few years back, I watched the Faith Like Potatoes movie, and it's awesome.

Really amazed at your reading and the lists you are providing.

GOD bless!

2

Thank you, Isabella!

I hope that you are doing well.

The book is actually about a Greek missionary who went to some totally untouched parts of the world, it's quite an amazing story. He then ended up going back to Greece being a missionary in his own country.

Most of Greece is Orthodoxy, so it's very different to the Christianity that I know, Costas went about changing that, in his own country, it's still happening today, with his son is now running the mission.

Have a great day.

Roy

2

It's a pleasure, Paul!

Reading books and listening to strong preaching, can really help to move us forward. I'm pleased to hear that your assisting your Pastor, Paul, that's great!

Bravo for starting a YouTube channel and website.

I'm glad you have seen, Angus Buchan's film, it's such a good film. You may also like a film called "War Room", it's another great film.

Another author that you may like, Paul, and there are many more, is Colin Dye, he is now retired from my old church, but he has also written many books. He is still travelling all over the world, preaching the gospel.

There are some great authors in that list, Paul and definitely worth taking a look at.

Have a great day.

Roy

2

Awesome! Glory to GOD!

2

Great movie about the power of prayer. Almost I have watched all the Kendrick brothers' movies. Like arrows not watched yet.

Sure, I will look into Colin Dye. I searched for Colin Dye's YouTube channel, and I believe I found it. Will surely watch his messages/sermons.

Thanks for the valuable insights!

2

I couldn't agree with you more, Paul! I need to check out more of their films, I know they have made several!

We are really privileged in this day and age, Paul, to have access to so much great teaching, there are some brilliant people out there. I have many favourite people I listen to, but I think my favourite is Jonathan Shuttlesworth, his wife is also a powerful speaker. If an unbeliever heard Jonathan speaking, they could potentially think he was lying, as the provision through obedience, is just unreal, it has to come from above!

Have a fantastic day.

Roy

1

To be honest, your messages are very, very helpful and you can't imagine how much importance I give because you know very well in all aspects it's very helpful for me (my spiritual life and for my online business ||I'm building my website around biblical teachings).

So each message and each recommendation is valuable to me. Going to check on YouTube whether I can find Jonathan Shuttlesworth's sermons.

1

That's great to hear, Paul, thank you so much for that. It's so important to get around the right people, especially when it comes to biblical things. Iron sharpens iron and helps us to grow quicker. We also have to remember that working is a biblical principle, we are all called to do different things.

Jonathan will come up straightaway, Paul, his church is revival today church, he has four churches. He comes from a family of preachers, I listen to his father who is completely different, but still good, Tiff Shuttlesworth, his uncle, Ted Shuttlesworth and his cousin, Ted Shuttlesworth Junior, all mighty men of God.

Jonathan is actually preaching in Nigeria, at the moment, he's quite a fiery preacher, but I absolutely get it 1,000,000%, where he's coming from!!

All the best.

Roy

1

Awesome! Yes, found it and immediately subscribed.

Revival Today! Jonathan & Adalis Shuttlesworth.

Thanks for the continuous support. Means a lot to me! Please don't forget to recommend these things to me.

1

That's good, Paul, I hope that you enjoy Jonathan's preaching, it may not be everyone's style, but I get where he's coming from, 100%!

On some of Jonathan's YouTube videos, I sometimes have to fast forward 20 minutes, just to get past the introduction. This is partly because, many things I have heard before, but as teaching is brilliant. He also does something called "check the news", that's quite interesting as well, he doesn't go with the mainstream media, he looks at things, from a biblical perspective.

I'm here to help and encourage, Paul, so feel free to reach out at any time.

Roy

1

Thanks a lot for those kind words|!

Right now |I'm listening to his sermon "Ev. Jonathan Shuttlesworth | The Second Coming of Christ".

In just ten minutes I felt its God's work that you recommended because already I'm getting some answers to some questions I was asking our LORD. I can't really explain... Thousands of thanks! GOD bless!

For sure, I will send PM to get your advice on my online ministry (I'm building my second website to preach the gospel). Please guide me...

1

It's a pleasure, Paul!

I could listen to Jonathan all day, Paul, the anointed word of God, never runs dry! I'm so pleased to hear this, that's great news.

Please feel free to reach out at any time, I'm here to help.

Roy

PS: The amount of people that I hear being healed of serious diseases, in that church, it is amazing!

1

I wanted to say this but I skipped it.

Last few days I'm asking these question to our LORD... I'm preaching and many are preaching... But you said we will do what you did and do more but miracles are not happening and many fake it. People needs to be healed etc but when I saw his ministry I'm really inspired and now you are saying the same point.

Also, on new year service I preached on the topic "Preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ". In that sermon, I asked for whom JC is coming? Everyone said for us, for the people who are saved, etc. I always love to give reference and proofs in bible as an answer to a question, stating JC is coming for those who is prepared (Hebrew 9:28). In the sermon just like that he mentioned that.

First I'm going to listen to the full sermon (1 hour) and then I will start my job LOL!

I can't thank enough. Thanks again!

I'm redoing my WA core training to build my second website (I bought the domain already). I'm in 5th lesson (Phase 1).

Hi Paul

I love to share with you I am currently reading, "Plant Science for Gardeners," by Robert Pavlis. Certainly, I am gardener and have a great responsibility to teach my community (kids and adults) how to grow their on food. However, on the side of me building my residual online business for my retirement security, I like to know if you have any good books you can suggest?

4

I love gardening, but I've tried a few times and failed, LOL. Helping people to grow their own food is a great service. All the best!

I would suggest the book I'm currently reading, "The Millionaire Fastlane" by M.J. DeMarco. Already, I'm learning a lot!

1

I used to have lots of organic gardening books but have now given them all away, In my experience it depends very much on the climate zone you live in as to how useful they are - and the same goes for websites.

1

Happy Day, Paul! 😊
I really admire your honesty and your commitment going into 2026. Setting a goal of one book a month is powerful — and realistic. Consistency always wins.
The Millionaire Fastlane is a great choice too. That distinction between interest and commitment really hits home, especially for anyone building a business or working on personal growth.
Thanks for the inspiration and for opening the conversation. I’m looking forward to seeing how your reading journey unfolds this year — wishing you a blessed and successful 2026

4

Thanks a lot for the valuable comment! I will update my progress with my reading journey.

Wishing you all success!

4

Thanks so much, StPaul! 🌟 I’m glad my comment was helpful. I’d love to hear how your reading journey unfolds—keep me updated! Wishing you steady progress and lots of enjoyment along the way. 📚✨

3

Sure, I will! Wishing you much success!

4

"Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement.

3

You are most welcome!

2

Yes, I'd love to hear your progress with the book too. I'll look up "The Millionaire Fastlane" by M.J. DeMarco. Thanks.

1

Finished 40+ pages (340 total pages). It's really amazing, and I'm getting great insights (unlearning many things).

1

Hi Paul. I have not been an avid reader most of my life but in the last 18 months, I've discovered Audible and I love it. I've been 'reading' or rather, listening to so many books, and it's been amazing. I drive a lot ferrying my children from place to place and it's a great way to pass the time and catch up on lots of classics that I would not otherwise have the time to read.
At the moment, I'm reading a non-fiction book which is excellent called, "Becoming Supernatural" by Dr. Joe Dispenza. It'a brilliant read and will change your life if you let it.
All the best
Gail

3

Indeed, Audible is awesome and a great help. That's a great way to utilise your time constructively.

I'm adding "Becoming Supernatural" to my list. Thanks a lot!

3

You won't be disappointed.

2

Sure! Thanks a lot!

2

Hi Paul,

In the past, I used to read three books a day, starting from the back. However, now, I prefer reading books with ChatGPT. I ask it for resumes and key insights because I often lack the time to read. Additionally, I make reviews of the books I read. ..

My list of favorites is long… and toppers?
Old scriptures. When they wrote the essence, there was no ramble.

✨ Fleeky

5

Hey Friend ^_^ morning good to hear from you.
I wasn't into ChatGPT until recently, I had used it to improve my sermons. Now I basically use it to polish my posts.

However you have just opened up a whole new avenue of using ChatGPT, that I had never considered. Being at WA, with people like you, just makes life better and better.

Although I must say, that I'm now even more pressed with my time management, Seriously under pressure.

Just saying ^_^ for a friend

See I'm using a gif, first time 😁😁😁😁

Thanks for being who you are Fleeky. I enjoy every interaction. Cheers

4

Hi Paul

Morning! And that gif looks promising.

Ha... short on time... the attention gap is the new disorder, so to speak. So much information, hard to grasp in a nutshell.

Yes, ChatGPT is a big help.

✨ Fleeky

3

That's amazing!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment.

4

Indeed, it's an eye-opener.

3

For sure, I will try it. Thanks for sharing!

3

Fleeky, do you suggest the books to ChatGPT or does ChatGPT, knowing roughly what you like, suggest the books?

4

Isabella, I suggest them most of the time... or ask based on specific topics, authors,... and made my own GPT to do that for me

4

Thanks for explaining what you do. It hadn't occurred to me to ask ChatGPT - I tend to ask my daughter. She is a children's book sub-editor.

4

Oh, great! Well, she certainly knows what people enjoy. 👍
If she gives you names and titles, chatGPT can elaborate for you... ✨

4

Yes, especially now that I listen to audiobooks more, I get through more books. Interesting that you ask for summaries - I tend to look at summaries and reviews on Amazon.

4

Yes... most of the amazon reviews are excellent indeed... doing the same...

Just no audiobooks.

4

Great minds... :-)

4

Lol

4

Hey Fleeky
On thd road. have wife business to attend to. Will respond properly when I get back home. 🍻 Cheers

2

Have to wait an hour for her. So I'll continue. Liked your words 'the attention gap is the new disorder ' decided to do a blog on it.
Your right with so much information available it's hard to focus exclusively on anything.
I have a guideline I gave myself a few years ago - it's my 20 minute rule. That's the time I would give to a project or event at any one time. If it runs over I decide whether I wish to finish it or setup a future time. Most times that worked for me.
Just saying ^_^

3

Great tip...
Does that include waiting times 😉

3

I notice your gif says evening, I for some silly reason assumed you were in the Americas, evening implies differently.
Just saying, that why assumptions are dangerous things. They makes asses of you and me.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers 🍻

4

Yes...

3

Indeed it was to me. Amazing how different people's perspective hel your own to grow. Thanks for sharing, appreciate it.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers

3

If you mean like now, I using the time to catch up on messages.
Other times I read my mail,
WhatsApp family, listen to music, or just kill time while waiting.
Other times I just sleep, that's sometimes in short supply or when I just need to turn the brain off.
Oh I forgot the most important item, that's also the best time for me to be alone with God. I can turn everything off and just listen.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers.

3

Amen

3

Hey I like your words 'the attention gap is the new disorder'. I think I will turn into a blog, with ChatGPT' help

3

Okaaay ^_^

3

Great question and thanks for asking!

1

That's great!

1

That's true! I'm learning a lot!

First time hearing it, but it makes a lot of sense, and that's the issue (attention gap).

Hi Paul
I've gotten lazy and time is a very precious commodity, so I can't say I read any books perse, what I normally do is listen to books on my car deck during commutes and for me 75% of the time it is books from the bible.
So I'm not sure I'm in a position to really answer your question.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers

5

I know you will read the bible most of the time. I completely understand, and listening to audiobooks is also an amazing option. Thanks for sharing!

3

I used to listen to books when driving too, and my daughter still does. But nowadays I don't drive long distances any more, and for the short distances I drive it's not worth starting to listen.

3

The challenge of the times we live in, so much to do; so much to process; without a plan, it an be both frustrating and exhausting.
Just saying. ^_^ Cheers.

2

You are most welcome 🙏

1

Hi Isabella
I really have little choice, my wife Cheryl insist that I drive her wherever she wants to go. All my children (and some gndchildren) drive, and drive well. She insist that I be her chauffeur.
I guess 45 years of marriage can do that, it who she's most comfortable with, I guess.
Just sharing. ^_^
I appreciate you connecting Cheers

2

Does that mean you can both listen to something in the car? If you could find something that you both like, it could be a shared experience, something to perhaps listen to on the way there and talk about on the way back.

2

Cheryl, listens to either gospel music and stuff or 80s music, sometimes she would listen to my kind of stuff.
She's a finance manager for a multinational, when we in the car, she de-stresses.

We have a habit of not discussing work matters, a lot of what she does is confidential .
Her focus outside of work is family, that has always been the program.
Thanks for asking, appreciated ^_^ Cheers

3

I like gospel music or 80s music too.

2

All that did was date you lol ^_^

2

lol - well, I guess so does my profile name...

2

apparently hahaha

2

I completely agree with you! I'm struggling with my time management.

1

Pleasure is mine!

1

That's great! For sure, the reason for that will be her love for you and her desire to spend more time with you.

1

Same here! Early morning, that's a routine, and in our home, you can often hear gospel music.

1

One of the most precious commodities around, yet most times we waste it. And those of us who don't (waste it) can never get enough.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers

1

lol

1

Maybe, although I think it's comfort. She is comfortable with me handling everything . I'm her first port of call for anything. Her famous words whenever asked why she operates the way she does, is simply ' I have a husband.'
Just saying ^_^ Cheers

1

We normally start our day with worship, gospel music is alarge part of it. It sets the tone for the day.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers

1

Well said!

1

LOL! Indeed, a loving and caring husband! GOD bless!

2

Really working on it... With kids (7 years old and 1 year old), we are struggling with our morning prayer and night prayer (family prayer).

2

Thanks Paul, appreciated

1

🙏👍

1

Haha, no just obeying God's word. I am her covering, I'm created to do this. ^_^ Cheers

2

When we have family prayer, we don't expect everyone to participate. If your children are 7 and 1, it will be better if you and your wife prayed and let the children learn from watching both of you.
If you live the life, your children will eventually follow.

God gave Man freewill to choose, that mean each person has o make their own choice. We learned that and therefore we let each child made their own decision.

Just saying ^_^ Cheers

2

Amen!

1

Got it, sir, thanks! We will try that... The little one is super active, she won't sit in a place, always keeps moving, pulling things, going and dashing her head on the walls and crying LOL!

2

PS. One day I will share with you the greatest lesson that God shared with Elijah when he was running.
Spoiler alert he wasn't running from Jezebel.
Just saying ^_^ Cheers

2

Well she's only one year old, that normal. Just let your wife manage her will you pray. And speak peace over her will doing it. Cheers ^_^

2

Sure! Thanks a lot! Since you mentioned He is not running Jezebel (normally that's what we think and was preached), I'm eagerly waiting. So, is he running from GOD like Jonah?

My son's name is Elijah!

Daughter's name is Elisha!

2

Sure, I will do that (no problem with the personal prayer, I will go to the terrace or to my office room - the challenge is with the family prayer).

1

Great names - Elijah (The Lord is my God) and Elisha (God is my salvation) You've blessed your children perpetually.
Nice ^_^

2

It doesn't matter where you do it. I often do it while driving. It's a nice way to spend time with God. ^_^

2

The Lord is my God - God is my salvation. That's the main reason I named my children.

1

Amen!

1

I totally agree!!! You can perfectly well pray while going for a walk.

2

Yes, indeed!

2

^_^

1

LOL

1

Amen to that ^_^
