It's 2 AM! Why Are You Awake? The Answer I didn't Expect From My Father-In-Law

Dear WA Family,

Happy Day!

We went to spend a weekend with my wife parents. After finishing our dinner, we all went to bed.

Since I was working in night shift for many months as usual I was struggling to sleep so I went to have some water. In another room where my father-in-law was sleeping I noticed the TV was not turned off.

When I went to turn off, I was shocked to see my father-in-law is watching TV. He is 70+ years old and taking medication for several health issues and he normally sleeps at 8 pm itself.

The Question:

I asked him... It's 2 AM! Why Are You Awake? That too watching TV...

The Answer:

He said around 8 am they are coming to disconnect the cable connection. We canceled the subscription and that's the reason I'm watching the whole night to take advantage of it to the fullest.

My Thoughts And Lesson Learned:

To be honest, I felt really bad and it sounded very childish and silly. I asked him to go to sleep and he turned off and went to sleep.

But I was thinking... Although it sounded silly and childish there is a lesson I learned from it.

So, my father-in-law wants to use the resources to the fullest and take advantage of it to the last penny he paid.

Myself paying the subscriptions for many things but not using it at all...

Let's Take WA:
