Defeat The Enemy At The Gates At All Costs!
Dear WA Family,
I wanted to share one thing I've been thinking about for the last few days, and the one I've been talking to myself about.
I believe it might be helpful for others, so I'm sharing it with my WA family members.
NOTE: Only the image is generated by AI, not this content! I hope my dear friend Roy reads this - LOL.
Inspiration & The Back Story:
Long ago, I read about an Israeli general who said to his army...
We must defeat the enemy at the gates at all costs. We must keep the battle at the gates.
The army took the general's word to the letter. They made a decision that the enemy should never enter or reach the gates again.
Result:
On the 3rd day, the war turned, and they got the upper hand. The Israeli army pushed its enemies to the borders and even occupied some of the enemy territory.
Gates?
Gates are not just for entry and exit. The gate refers to the standard of our life.
Who Is Your Enemy?
We all have enemies, and the enemies I'm referring to are not humans.
To give an example... One of our enemies, I'm referring to, is procrastination.
We all have different enemies, but please remember... We must defeat the enemy at the gates at all costs. We must keep the battle at the gates.
Don't let the enemy enter or reach the gates. Fight and push the enemy back to the border. If possible, conquer the enemy territory.
I hope this helps! Please let me know your thoughts...
Wishing You Great Success!
GOD bless!
Your Friend,
Paul

Thanks, Paul. Yes, we do have real enemies as well as imagined ones. You have just given one example. Thanks also for behind aware of how sensitive the topic can be, especially with real Israel as an example. You did well by explaining your point: not human enemies here.
As I write, I could say I'm in a political exile just for writing my opinions, and anything can happen to me at any time. Many writers from South Sudan were previously capture/kidnapped from Kenya and disappeared for good. This is real life threat.
But as you say, we have to fight the good fight. I believe humans deserve to be reminded they are one race, the human race, regardless of their skin color, region, and much more. We are but one family, and the WA is a good example of this.
Wishing you well, Paul!
Really worried and afraid to hear about the situation. I will remember you in my prayers.
Indeed! Totally agreed! I remember the quote by Jeff Bezos... We are all different but equal.
It's well with me, but thanks for the concern, Paul. Yes, we might look different due to several factors involves but we are human, and that's what matters the most.
Great post Paul and I remember that story about that Israeli general. Your explanation about keeping the "Gates" further out from the actual front gate, reminded me of a board game I used to play with my friends growing up, RISK.
To achieve success we cannot be complacent and must defeat the enemy of procrastination before it gets too close to home and thus our failure. It should always be at least Two Steps Forward - One Step Back = Progress.
Every time I played RISK if I was the one who got to place my first army piece, I would always choose either Argentina or Eastern Australia. They were both on continents of only 4 territories and can be attacked from only two borders.
I would then push forward to capture and secure the enemy territories that bordered on my original territory and continue to keep that battle at the gates. Once my continent was secured, I would push that gate further out.
That same concept and battle plan, works well with our approach to defeating the enemy of procrastination and even complacency. Keep moving forward in our growth, even if that motion forward is with smaller steps at times.
Everyone has a different battle plan. No one plan works for all. The only thing that has universal relevance is the battle plan to start. We all must take action to start so we can at some point experience success. We MUST Start!
Robert
Awesome! It's great see and learn from you as always!
Thanks a lot for the helpful insights and for adding helpful insights to this post!
My pleasure Paul.
Your story sparked my memory and thus helped me to craft the appropriate response.
Have a blessed day!
It's a small world Mel.
Before there were smart phones and video games, board games were always the best form of group entertainment between family and friends.
For me, if we weren't playing outside, it was always Risk with my friends and Monopoly with family after Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Hey Paul
That was said by Ariel Sharon, during the Yom Kippur War in 1973, his doctrine centered on active defense.
It requires us to be constantly aware of the things that slow us down daily, like procrastination, doubt, depression, jealousy and what my people call 'checking other people money and not focusing on your own.
His answer tell us that we need not (entertain it) let it in, Stop the negatives at the door,
Great post, very reminiscent. Thanks for sharing ^_^ Cheers
Thanks a lot for those details, Pastor!
Checking other people's money and not focusing on your own - Deep meaning, and I totally agree.
Thanks for your insightful comment!
Your always welcome, Paul ^_^ Cheers
Thanks a lot! GOD bless!
