Getting Started Again
Being in business is a challenge. And a giant pain. I've been at it in various forms for most of my adult life. There are amazing advantages to being a small business person. Not the least of which is the indepence you gain from making your own way.
It's also a curse. Because, guess what; you're responsible for the whole thing. Good or bad. If a client is unhappy, you have to deal. Sometimes late at night or when you just dont feel like working. But if you don't, you're done. Your reputation goes down the tubes and you're finished.
It takes a special kind of commitment to your business. Even if you don't love it all the time. You bang away. You never give up. Because the rewards can be great.
I'm starting this new online venture to see if I can do it in a new arena. One that won't hurt my body and where I can do much of the work from my desk at home. Is it possible to make money without sacrificing my health and well being? I hope so and I look forward to the challenge. Just writing this post seems cathartic. It's a new chapter. Embrace it! Time to rock.

"Just writing this post seems cathartic." Yeah!!! That is great.
All that you said about owning your own business is true. I hope you enjoy the journey building your online business using the knowledge that you are going to gain here.
Great story and awesome confidence. I can understand about getting hurt. I had 2 car accidents and hurt my back in the last one. I wish you all the success the WA has to offer.
Well said Steve, there are definitely highs and lows in owning your own business. The long hours are what get to me every once and a while. I have found and I am finding it harder to generate the motivation needed to start a new venture or modernize the process to stay current with today’s marketing and customer relations. Great blog thank you.
