10 Months at Wealthy Affiliate

It has been a little over 10 months since I have joined WA. I have learned so much since joining. I have learned about affiliate marketing, WordPress plugins, additional techniques I had not known about search engine optimization, and more important, the power of community can have when they pull together to help others.

Since joining....

• I have acquired over 3,200 followers...
• I have written close to 100 WA blogs and with each one, I try and find a way to inspire and help others.
• I have bought four domains which I try and find time to work on each one everyday.
• I have a few other siterubix websites that I am working on to get them ready for their own domain. I am delighted we now can have our own domain registered through WA, without having to use NameCheap, etc. However, I now have to go through my WA site and re-word many of my pages which instruct my users to first purchase a domain through an external site such as GoDaddy, NameCheap, etc. - so more work there, but good in the long run.
• I have made money from the following platforms and programs:

  • Amazon
  • E-Bay
  • A few small private merchants

Points of inspiration:

• Many people who have been here for years report that they did not make their first sale until 6 months or more. This is common. I made my first sale via Amazon within my first month. I am not a big fan of Amazon due to their low commission structure, but since they are Amazon, I use them. Two months after joining WA, I was invited into the Ambassador program and I do believe those two events are related. You can become successful by helping others to achieve success.
• Find that balance between "helping too much" and "not helping enough" - your success comes from helping others, but do not neglect your own websites and challenges facing you.
