Lockdown Weight Gain.

Well I haven't put as much weight as the man you see in this photo, but I am now 12 stone - 76kg and that is a lot for my small bones.

During lockdown we have been indoors more and have stockpiled food. I only did that once and gained half a stone (7lbs). Well I started pigging out on bread and rice and beans this past June.

And put on another half stone. Was wondering why jeans were feeling tighter than normal, but after weighing myself this evening, I can see why.

So it's back to a raw food diet with yours truly (moi!) to lose 10lbs this month. This means avocado smoothies, plenty of veggie juice and raw plantain salads.

Is anyone in a similar position?

I could relate in a way. I was recently diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and sometimes I couldn't eat up for a week. Lost so much weight. Once I started feeling better, my appetite came back, and I literally couldn't stop eating. Felt like such a pig. I'm considered 10 pounds over weight, but slowly losing it. I still need to get rid of my belly. Not to mention, the lockdown definitely didn't help. LOL

Sorry to hear that Adam....

I've started my raw journey by having 56oz of green juice for breakfast.

Still finishing off some pasta left in the larder though...Got 2 500g packets. Eaten with mushrooms, onions, garlic and tomatoes.

Yummy! Here's hoping you keep well moving forward.

Take care and God bless!

Hi Stella
I was overweight in the first place! But haven’t got any heavier. Still need to control what I eat better though.

Yes, we all do! It's mind over matter...

Ha ha , I can relate. I am in Ho Chi Minh City and we have been in lockdown for 7 weeks with another 4 to come ( I am sure). I think I will have to wear a Mumu.

The word muʻumuʻu means "cut off" in Hawaiian, because the dress originally lacked a yoke. Originally it was a shorter, informal version of the more formal holokū. Holokū was the original name for the Mother Hubbard dress introduced by Protestant missionaries to Hawaii in the 1820s.

Lol! A Mumu? It can't be that bad surely!

It’s worse. I can’t walk upstairs anymore.lol. Just hang around the refrigerator.

Yes, that's true! that's the reason we need an exercise everyday.

True!

Echoing the same sentiments Stella :)
