Why we shouldn't jump into the deepend

We all need to learn from the beginning

I had a though last night and what came to me was that aspiring to be successful internet entrepreneur is very much like learning to swim.

When we first get into the water as a toddler, we have no idea what to do. So the first thing is getting in and of course usually not on our own and certainly not in the deep end.

We first have to understand where we are and perhaps dip our toe in to feel the temperature. Once we get past that stage we progress onto standing in the water. As confidence grows we take more chances and move more into the deeper part of the pool still keeping our feet firmly on the bottom.

Now we might have a swimming teach or learn to swim on our own but what do you think is the easier option.....you guessed it......get a swimming teacher.

Lets face it, you wouldn't jump straight into the deepend of a pool if you couldn't swim, would you?

Learning to be a success on the internet is just like swimming. For anyone to learn what to do you need a professional to teach you. When starting out on the internet to create a business you don't just jump straight in at the deep end, you would take steps slowly so that you can understand and learn. As your confidence grows and you progress and then you find that you can do things that perhaps seemed a million miles away when you first started. Just like swimming, the more you do the better you become.

How do you think Olympic swimmers become champions? They don't do it on their own, they have a swimming coach to motivate them to greatness. Of course not everyone can become an Olympic champion but everyone can do the best they can do. The level of greatness is determined by our own work ethics, whether in business or in sport we can only achieve greatness by building knowledge and understanding and that my friends can only be done with help.

When we are young, we learn stuff all the time, in fact I think the fist 2 years of our life we take in so much information that it shapes us into who we eventually become. We NEVER stop learning, it just becomes a bit hrder when we get older or is it that we become a bit lazy, I dont know! What I do know is that we have teachers to help guide us and educate us so we fit into society where we feel comfortable.

I do believe that people who think they can achieve greatness or success by doing it on their own without learning the skills required will have more chance of failure than those that don't.

You could of course procrastinate and just wait for something to happen

Somehow I believe we all know that procrastinators will never succeed and always think that the world owes them but the fact is we DO need help.....ALL THE TIME.......we never stop acquiring knowledge until until the day we cease to exist.

So don't jump into the deep end initially, gain the education and knowledge first and do it in a time that suits YOU.
