Hi...can someone tell me how the rankings work as I've noticed some fairly recent members (like myself who registered only two days ago) are ranked in the 400s whereas I'm 12708

LOL, rank is merely a reflection of activity within the WA site itself, nothing more. You'll find that some hobbyist Members treat it as a bit of a "game" although the majority pay little attention to the "leaderboard" and simply let their ranking fall where it may. It gets "tweaked" often, ie. Carson recently blogged about the "Paying It Forward" update here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/carson/blog/paying-it-forward-at-wa You'll find some of the most knowledgeable and "successful" Members at WA don't even rank in the Top 100, they're likely too busy earning to "engage". :) Rich.

Thanks to all who took the time responding to my query. I will follow through on the advice given.

One of the best blogs I read about rankings is Carson's WA members rankings. Here's the link if you wish to know more about it: hope this will be informative to you.

There are a couple blogs on this too. Just do a search for member rankings. A lot of things play into this...like writing posts, creating training, discussions, helping others out, etc etc.

In other words the more active you are within WA the higher your rank will get. It makes sense that being a premium member would give you a boost over non-premium members.

It's how active you are in participating with in the community:)

Upgrade to premium and you will get a huge bump in rank which is likely why the recent members you refer to are in the 400's.
