I'm having some difficulty with adding content on my main page of my website, it's completely empty. I have content on my "About Me" page as well as the "Privacy Policy" page. I

Your "home" page should give readers a sense of what your site is about. Who do you want to serve? What are their needs? What results are they looking for? How can you help them get what they want? What is it that your site offers that they can't find elsewhere? What is your unique point of view?

While your home page should not focus on selling, it should be centered on creating interest and moving your visitors to "peek inside".. Give them a few bullet points on what topics they can expect you to cover. Does that help?

Start by asking yourself questions based upon what your audience wants and needs. Write down three to six good questions and develop your content from those questions.

Reads like a good idea, thank you, it's well appreciated.

It's often theme dependent. I'd recommend first setting your home page, either as a fixed page or a blog roll in Settings > Reading. Then click on Appearance > Menu and add the pages to the menu. Switch to the Install tab within Menus and see where you can locate a menu(s) within a theme. You can also create additional Menus and add them elsewhere, ie. a Footer Menu for say your Privacy Policy and use a Custom Menu widget to add it to the footer area in Appearance > Widgets. :) Rich.

Thanks Rich, I'm not real techie per se but i will try and follow what you have written in the above.

Are you saying that you don't know what to write about for your site? What is your site about?

Yes that's it, I'm drawing blanks right now...writers block i think...lol. It's about building websites for free.

Put yourself in the position of being a visitor not the builder of the website. What the sort of things that you would like to know? Things like
Skills needed to build a website, additional costs to them being free, do you own a free website ... benefits of a free website, limitations to building a free website etc.
Hope that helps.
Beverley

P.S. you don't have the luxury of suffering from writer's block. Just start writing something!
