1. Utilize visuals: Images and videos are a great way to create more engagement on social media. Post photos and short videos to capture your audience’s attention.

2. Be responsive: It is important to respond to comments and messages received on social media. This shows your followers that you are engaged and that you care about their feedback.

3. Ask questions: Ask your audience questions related to the topic of your post. This encourages them to leave comments, providing you with additional feedback on the content you’re putting out.

4. Make use of hashtags: Hashtags help to make your post visible to larger audiences that may not already be following you. This can help to increase your reach and bring more people to your page.

5. Host contests and giveaways: Everyone loves the chance to win something! Consider running a contest or having a giveaway every now and then to promote more engagement on social media.

6. Leverage influencers: Partner with influencers in your niche to reach an even larger audience. This helps to expose your products and services to a new group of people that may be interested in what you’re offering.

7. Run polls or surveys: Interactive content such as polls or surveys can help to engage your audience. This can also help you find out more information about who your followers are and what they like.

8. Focus on conversation: Try to focus your posts on conversation and dialogues that lead to an exchange of ideas. This is a great way to get people engaged and involved with your social media posts.

9. Keep it concise: Keep your posts concise and to the point so that your audience can easily read them and understand what you’re trying to say.

10. Repost and share content: Repost content from others that relates to what you’re talking about. This helps to spread the message and get more people to engage with your posts.

11. Use different platforms: Don’t just stick to one social media platform. Utilize multiple channels in order to reach a wider audience.

12. Cross-promote: Use multiple social media platforms to cross-promote your content. This can help create more visibility for you and your brand.

13. Target different audiences: Try to tailor your content to different audiences to create more engagement across a variety of platforms.

14. Respond quickly: If someone takes the time to comment or message you, make sure you respond back quickly. This shows your followers that you value their engagement.

15. Create a schedule: Create a social media schedule and stick to it so that you can be consistent with the content you post. This will help you to maximize your engagement.

I have been engaged with social media for some time but some of these things I have not tried. I am not at all sure how to use hashtags. Since this is one of those 15 things, I will do a bit more research and figure out how to use them correctly. Thanks for the info.

LOL. I know that but I really don't understand what the hashtags do or which key words to hashtag. I use them but don't really understand them. Thanks for responding.

If you use the keyword tool find out what targeted keywords people are searching for. Then when doing a tweet etc. Use that hashtag and anyone who searches Twitter etc for that keyword will then see your post.

Cool. Thanks. I never understood exactly how the hashtag worked. You explained it clearly in 3 sentences.
