I already said a few times: emotion driven marketing will always generate sales ...

To put it simply: if there are emotions involved, you have great(er) chances to make money as an affiliate marketer ...

So it's really easy to understand and to find the opportunities within this niche ...

Anger management is a HUGE problem, affecting tens of millions of lives worldwide ... People who are desperate for a solution ...

And desperate people usually "love" to spend money ...

According to BeatingAnger and ScienceDaily ...

  • anger management represents a $17 billion market with over 25 million Americans spending tons of money every year
  • nearly two-thirds of US adolescents have experienced an anger attack in their lives that involved threatening violence or violent behavior.
  • the monetary cost can amount to $30–$50 per session for general therapy, or much higher fees for specialized coaching
  • through private sessions, the individual can expect to pay a therapist hourly, anywhere from $80 to $150 per session
  • people are willing up to $300 per 90-minute session to solve their anger issues
  • 1 in every 12 young people are considered to have anger issues and are in need for anger management
  • 9% of people in the US have outbursts of anger, break or smash things, or get into physical fights
  • two-thirds of adolescents in the US have a history of anger attacks
  • according to SafeYouth more than 1 in 3 high school students, both male and female, have been involved in a physical fight due to anger
  • 32% of people polled say they have a close friend or family member who has trouble controlling their anger
  • 12% say that they have trouble controlling their own anger
  • 28% say that they worry about how angry they sometimes feel
  • 20% say that they have ended a relationship or friendship with someone because of how they behaved when they were angry

In the light of these numbers is really easy to understand the steady demand chart and the widespread regional interest stats provided by Google Trends:

And Jaaxy will give you another proof ... 8,290 AVG monthly searches for "anger management" ...

And of course, there are many leveragebale avenues and sub-niches: anger counseling, children anger, anger handling techniques, anger management games and activities, anger management toys, anger management medication, anger therapies, anxiety attacks, anger management tests, anger management courses, etc.

And an avalanche of affiliate products ... I found 3K items only on Amazon. Many of them are quite expensive ... up to a few hundred bucks ...

My conclusion

In our crazy world there is always some sort of event that happens right before someone gets angry that serves as the trigger.

And let's face it ... There are always new reasons and causes that can (will) make us angry ... Anyone can get angry when their expectations are not met. Being accused of things ... Withdrawal from drugs or some medications ... Failure can make people angry. The never ending financial problems can lead to anger ... Disappointment may lead people to anger ... Being teased or bullied or even worse, humiliation is also a big reason of anger. And so on ...

So yes, anger management is a niche that literally has millions of people al lover the world spending billions every year just to solve their emotional issues. The niche is full of emotion and with emotions, you really get the opportunity to tap into your customers minds ... And more importantly, into their pockets.

Haha I can't help but feel like "beating" anger is counter-productive: it sounds like committing domestic violence against your own emotions!

I've put my fist through it's fair share of walls and gotten into a few fist fights, so I get the value of this niche...

I went through some anger management as a teen. It actually helps more than people might think, if it's done right and you're willing to grow.

Another winner here! I bet this one would go really well with the "anxiety" niche.

Anyways, great post (as always)!
Thank you for taking the time to share it with us, I appreciate it!

Thanks my friend!

Domestic violence against our own emotions ... The essence of our well-mannered, ultra-civilized lifestyle ...

I feel you. I'm a therapist and my approach to almost any unwanted emotion is not to fight it, but to approach it with curiosity and kindness. One can also learn do so with anger for sure, so I totally get that the idea of beating it seems off. Usually whatever we try to fight in ourselves just grows bigger.

No problem, Zed. Merry Christmas to you also.

Thanks!

You're welcome.

On the one hand, it appears to be an excellent niche with lots of potential and a chance to help a lot of people.

On the other hand, I almost can't help but be a little sad that such an opportunity exists in a world filled with too much anger, you know?

Excellent post, as usual, sir.

Thanks AJ!

Unfortunately, there are many bad and sad things in our world ... Diabetes, anger, depression, etc ...

Amen, brother. I'm struggling with diabetes right now myself.

Keep up the awesome, my friend. :-)

Thanks for this. As a psychotherapist all I do is think about emotions, and help others work with them. I'm so excited at the possibility of going into this niche in the future. I currently work with men in addictions and facilitate anger management groups, so it would be pretty natural. Funny I hadn't thought of it as a niche before!

Thanks for the feedback Kirsten!
