Hardest thing ever...
So I just joined the WA family yesterday and I can't believe how hard it is...to go to my job!
I built my first website yesterday after getting through lesson 4 and all I want to do right now is sit at the computer and get pages and pages of content written for it. I want to quit my job tomorrow and devote all my time to building my business.
Don't worry, I'm not going to rush things and do anything rash. I have to have the income from my job or my family will be in serious trouble.
For the first time I am truly excited about a work at home opportunity. This program is very different than the others I have wasted money on because of the wonderful community that Carson and Kyle have built. I am so excited that I find that I have to remind myself to slow down, go through the program step by step and do the work to build a successful business. It is so easy to just run headlong and not see the cliffs that may be ahead instead of taking a deep breath and the time to fully embrace the process and crossing the finish line in due time.
I look forward to meeting more of you, learning from you and sharing in this wonderful journey.
Just do me a favor, if I seem to be getting too excited and trying to jump ahead, give me a virtual kick to the keester and remind me that it was the hare that won that race!!
Blessings to you and good luck in your own race!

Sheri, I can totally relate with this. When I was working for the man and discovered some great skills here at WA that was about to propel my business forward, it became very hard to be at work.
But it was also a relief because as I sat in annoying meeting, I couldn't help but smile. Know why? I knew that this wasn't the end of the road for me like so many people that would spend the rest of their lives making another person rich. I knew i was only buying time and eventually I could do my business full time and leave that prison.
So that's what you need to keep in mind. Obviously you don't do anything rash. But know that you're a step closer to freedom every day!

I know about that secret smile. I work Asset Protection for a large (some would say, evil) retailer and my partner and I are both so ready to bolt. He and I are both working on getting out because we have realized that we both have allowed our job to change us for the worse. We are really nice people who are becoming bitter and angry all the time so that is another reason to make this work out...getting back to my true self!
Knowing that I am moving in the right direction really does make it easier to deal with all the negativity at work though. Each step I take toward getting my business running is just one step closer to freedom!
I'm beginning to feel like William Wallace in Braveheart, I seem to be yelling "freedom!!" in my head a lot.
Hey Sheri,
I can totally relate. I didn't realize how toxic corporate america was for me until I was removed from it. So you're preaching to the choir.
You'll get back to your true self so enough!
Congratulations on building your first setup! Awesome blog, Sheri.
Now I can't wait to begin learning the steps of building my very own website. Thank you :)
Thanks Sully. Good luck on getting your site up. It's so much easier getting started with all the tools and support here on WA. Look forward to seeing yours.
Thank you. The reason I am so gungho about building this website is it will be an opportunity to help others while helping myself. My current job has taken me away from my core and this will help me get back to being my true self!
Welcome Sheri,
slow and steady is the game winner. Some are lucky enough to have successes very quickly others take a bit longer (niche depending etc) however if you have the enthusiasm to get stuck in and work hard you should start to see progress and as it grows so does the traffic, the CTR's and the commissions.
Just keep at it.
Thank you for the warm welcome.
I am definitely going to take my time to ensure my success. I've put out the intention for freedom in my life and I feel like things are starting to align nicely already! Now I will just do the training and put in the hard work so things can fall into place.
Going too fast can mess up, so try your best to slow a bit and do not get disappointed with first results. Keep reviewing the lessons to make sure you really understand and you will be fine. Wishing you great success.
Going slowly won't be a problem, that pesky job of mine will make sure of that! I'm going to devote as much time as possible to this venture without sacrificing time with my family.

I see another serial entrepreneur in the making. I think you definitely drank the Koolade of freedom with good fortune ahead. Welcome to the not so secret society of the liberated ones who have decided to build their own dream instead of helping an employer build theirs.
Good for you, Sheri. It's only scary at first. In time you will revel in the ferocity of your new entrepreneurial spirit as you see cash coming into your Paypal account.
Thanks for the encouragement, Rebecca. I'm excited to be on this journey. And freedom is definitely my mantra lately. I look forward to being able to write my own ticket and know that my labors are going to be going into my family's pocket instead of a large corporation's!
I look forward to sharing this journey with my new family here at WA.
