September Commisions are in - Money pouring right in, slowly!
With everyone showing how much they make a month, why not show the world how much I make? Wouldn't that be a great idea?
Not sure it will be actually...
You see, I'm not one of those gurus's who are 'killing' it with blogging. Nor am I one of those who actually made much this month.
But I feel as though someone needs to talk about the 'little guy', so who better to do it then, well, the little guy himself?
This is more a post for those who are just starting out, or those who are part way in, to see what you can make with blogging. So, without writing on and on, and never getting anywhere, let's just cut to the chase, and see what I've made!
My monthly commissions for, well, the month...
I know, you're all thinking, "You call this a success post? You've only made 14 bucks...".
It's actually 14.51 to be exact.
It's not much, I will admit. But the cool thing is that I can see the potential. You see, two months ago (July), I made around $3, and last month (August), I made over $5. This month, I made close to $15.
What's even more whacked out, is that the months of July and August, I really didn't do much. Even in the month of September I hardly did much, except for the past week or so.
So, essentially, all the money I made in the month of September came from articles that I've written previously.
What does this mean?
(I think) This means that if I do a ton of work this month, and in the next few months ahead, I'll reap the benefits of what I 'sow' later down in the months ahead. That's partly why I'm writing 2 articles a day, so that down the road WHEN they rank, I'll be able to make money with them.
Starting Slowly
You know, most bloggers don't go from $0 to $500 in a month. Just doesn't happen that often. Most often the case is that it takes baby steps to achieve what you want.
I've made close to $15 this month. Lord-willing, next month will be more than that, and the month after that even better. I may not be able to make what I want to make RIGHT NOW, but over the course of a few months to a year, I should see what I want to see.
So while this isn't a lot of money, it does show the potential in blogging. Yes, it is a really, really, low amount of money. But it has shown me that the process does work. Which is helping me continue to work towards my goal.
Hope this post is an encouragement, and not a discouragement. Continue to grow your business, and one day, sooner or later, you'll reap benefits that you might never ever have dreamed of!

YES SIR! Thank you so much for sharing your early success post. I made my first $1.40 and made a blog post saying similar things as you. It's true: this is a small victory that is a indicator of what's to come.
Let's kill it this month! I'm going for 4 articles a day!
Four articles a day? Crazy awesome! Keep it up. Like one person told me, just remember to keep quality in the picture and not focus too much on quantity. But I'm sure you know that!
Wise words and a great reminder. Thank you. Best of luck, I'm following you to watch your journey.
You have the right outlook. Kyle described that it starts as a small stream, then it continues to grow. It's good that you have the perspective of growth down. It's not like a job where you start making money. In business, you're growing the income, but to your advantage, you also have control of your raises. Great job!
WOW!.. Good work really pay...
All we got to do is to be more committed and determine to achieve more.
nice one from you!
Thank! What you said really rings true. We need to be committed and determined.
To your business ideas!
Thank you for sharing this. I think it's important that people know things don't happen quickly and the money is not going to be flying in right away. I've been at it for seven months and I've made about that same amount for my whole time, so you're doing better than I am! :-)
Right on Lynne. That's partly why so few people complete their blogging ideas and hopes. You really need to be persistent and determined to see it through, other-wise you'll lose faith way too quickly and give it all up.
Your post is great encouragement! You understand what it takes to make money and that it is a steady process with rewards increasing as you go.
Too many get discouraged by not seeing big results fast, you are doing great!
Janelle
Thanks Janelle! I totally get what you mean. There are many days where I feel like I don't want to do anything. But even if I don't feel like it, I've just gotta do it. I just tell myself to never get discouraged, and not look at results too closely until several months in!
Hi Sleeper
This is such a great post and well done as the income is growing and the more you add the more it will grow
All the best and get ready to celebrate good times :)
Vicki
Thanks Vicki. I'm hoping to be able to celebrate soon! Maybe in a few months, or in a year, but celebrating is in the future!
