My Home Office Is Complete - Why That Is Important

Yes, the title pretty much says it all. Of course I don't have the view in the image above, but that's okay. My wife and I have been diligently working to convert our spare room (that rarely gets used) into a home office.

The room was in dire need of a makeover

The spare room was previously painted a color called "Raisin", so you can probably imagine how dark the space was. This is because my wife used to work nights and she slept during the day. She needed a room that was dark so she could get some sleep.

Three coats of primer and a fresh new coat of light gray paint and we are good to go.

I purchased an adjustable height desk, and my back thanks me for that!

Why is this important for me?

Now I have a place to work. For the past 11 years we have been in this house, it's just been me having my laptop wherever there was space on the kitchen counter. Now I have a place to work. I do get to work from home one day per week with my full time job, so having an office is great.

Now I can focus more on my online business as well and I think this new office space is going to be good for me. Hopefully it will allow me to get more done with fewer distractions. This is all part of my goal to more efficiently manage my time in 2019.

So no more visitors, unless they want to crash on my daughters bunk bed (LOL).
