My results from Fiverr
So last week I decided to enlist some help as I was having trouble getting the time to write. I decided to give Fiverr a shot. I ordered three writing gigs from different people and left the results to the great god of the interwebs, keeping my fingers crossed.
I got my first article back early, nice. English was a bit clumsy and the use of my keyword was off. This is basically my fault, I assumed everyone had the same understanding of keywords that I had learned here at WA, and in hindsight my directions were a bit vague.
I decided to go with the keyword they had used, it wasn't that bad when I checked in the keyword rankings and at least I would get a post up. I did have to polish the language and change a few things, but this was fine as it took me less than half an hour.
The other two posts were also pretty clunky in their language. I had some re writing of introductory paragraphs to do, but had learned my lesson with my explanation of my keyword so this was included as I had instructed. Again 20 minutes to half an hour of making the language in the articles and they were ready to go.
My Conclusion?
I will use Fiverr again. For the equivalent of 30 minutes pay from my normal job I obtained 3 articles that I spent in total about 2 hours polishing and getting ready to post. For me to write these from scratch, it would have taken me at least 10 hours, if not more.
I do not recommend using Fiverr for articles you can just receive and post straight away. If you are looking for this I would suggest you need to spend more than $5 per article. I am sure there are writers on there that are capable of providing these, but I stuck to the basic $5 gigs. I also did not mind having to edit the writing supplied as it enabled me to put my own voice into the piece.
I do suggest though for anyone using Fiverr that you provide clear and concise instructions. Not everyone understands keyword use etc. the way we who were taught here do. We can hardly hold that against them!

I ve used fiverr a couple of times too and l had.to do some editing, on the average, it saved me a lot of time l would have spend doing the work myself....l.quite agree with you...
The content writing space on
forums.digitalpoint.com is great resource for content writers....a lot of them are savvy and they dont charge a fortune.
That is great Jodie .. I am very encouraged by what you have said. My re-write skills are great but my initial content creation is very poor so this could work for me. How many words was each article? Cheers, William.
I got the 500 word articles as I was just testing the waters and did not want to spend a lot just in case the results were less than satisfactory. Like you I find it easier to flesh out an article than write from scratch sometimes so this suited me quite well.
For articles , Fiver can be tricky as English is not the first language of many sellers & the sentence structure & grammar is often very sloppy . I would definitely use Upwork, even if it cost a bit more, you can use the job filter to fit your requirements.
Thanks for the substantial advice about Fiverr Jodie. They have their usefulness in certain situations as does Upwork.

I've never used them for anything other than art work. I was curious about their writing gigs. Thanks for the info!
