Newbies guide to stop being taken advantage of

Newbies come to WA hoping to get training from The two guys that started it all. Then when you start to ask questions, everybody seems so helpful right?

Well it may seem like everyone realy wants to help.  But most have a alterior motive -  To get you to click their affiliate link so they make money.  Even the newbies are realizing the money is in the newbies.  They start writing how to stuff with guess what -  There affiliate link in it.   Even when they haven't made a sale themselves.

How many aweber links have you gotten so far?  What are they the only email marketing company out there?

Sorry to sound sour but I'm sick of everyone trying to make money off the newbies.

Where can we find the TOS of WA? I cannot find it on the tool bar. I agree that there should not be affiliate links in any blogs, training resources and forum inside WA environment. A good guideline to follow is from Ezine. Only the authors' resource box can have links to their websites where members do their promotion of products.

Definitely let Kyle or Carson know, as I don't think you are allowed to push other products on members here. I for one will NEVER affiliate link in this site. I am here to help and get help, I can make sales elsewhere.

I used to sign up for lists and more lists. It can be a big waste of time if you spend an hour a day sorted through all of that junk. Time to boycott :) I canceled 99 percent of them especially if it was evident that the person has never used a certain service or tool.

Hey great post, I am also a newbie here at WA and I am doing the same thing you are complaining about. I did not notice it before but I am actually doing it too look at my signature on my forum posts and you see about three links! Wow, you really opened my eyes with this one. Thank's However on the other hand I have gotten a lot of help in the forums and yes I have clicked on the links and have bought some great programs and services. Wait a minute did I actually buy because I needed them or did I need them after they told me I needed them and had to buy them? Eye opener for sure. Thank you,

RIck

Hey i hear you on this one.

Some have said the whole point of affiliate marketing is to do that but I agree.......not here!
The idea here is suppose to be community not targeting a market.
I wish to point out to people that Kyle and Carson DON"T do that to any of us here in WA like ALL the other similar programs promising training ,...... so why should we do it to each other?
If you have ever been a part of Affilorama's mailing list you will see what I mean......they promote all and every product launch that comes along.
Same with the blueprint product lines.
NOT the example I want to follow.

You mentioned Aweber....great example.;
Believe it or not it is not the best AR choice there is........
Is it adequate,.."you bet" but it is an expensive alternative that is not the best for beginners. And in most cases anyone else either.
However.....it pays one of the best affiliate commissions of them all.
Shop around on your own and you'll find many that do not raise the price to a stupid level as your list grows AND ARE able to deliver just as many emails as any other service.

I threw some gold at ya,..and added you to my bud list.

have a great day and don't take no wooden nickles........eh.

Definitely! I've only been here a month and noticed the same things about affiliate links. It's a real turn off. I'm writing about WA on my blog, but I'm being honest and posting the negative aspects such as one of the of the dislikes about WA is all the spam.

I also didn't like being asked to promote WA to family and friends so soon in to the Action Plan (like the first lesson). Why would I recommend something to people I know before I find out it's credible and works?

In my several months as a newbie so far in WA, a whole bunch of people have been so helpful to me. And I have learned so much from them.
But thinking about it, I guess I rarely click on links from within the Forum. especially ones that lead to a website belonging to the commenter.
so your experience will reinforce that practice of mine.
Big thx for sharing what you did, and here's a buddy request and gold.

Absolutely, don't know who to trust. Right on!

Hey Steve - if you ever find a training resource with an affiliate link within it, please let us know because it's not allowed and will be remove for violation of terms.

The problem is not that everyone wants to sell you something. When you go to your city's downtown, you're bombarded with 'buy me, buy me' signs. The problem is if they don't tell you.

And even if they do, you don't know who to trust.
