Liberating Thy self - Self Care and Participating in Society

There are times to really consider how much time is devoted to one's self-being.

The world is very fast-paced, and no matter how much we try to truly disconnect and do some self-care, there is something reaching for attention.

Bonds and chains are connected to duties and tasks and have to-do lists.

We must self-care several times in a day and by this, if it means letting go of everything that begs for attention for short periods of time, intervals through the course of your awake state.

Do it!

Liberation is freedom.

When I forget to touch my toes and feet, I think to myself I am not caring for all of my body.

That may sound weird but how often do you play with your own toes and feet and move them around to give pain release?

Or you look down and think Wow I think it's time to clip my toe nails!

We get so Busy, that taking self care actions get lost in thinking.

Thinking thinking thinking.

I have some steps to help!

Step One

Look for signs that you may be rushing! Are you tripping on things, forgetting keys, dropping things.

Step Two

Take note if your body is feeling light or heavy! Are you Floating through the day or pulling yourself up every minute.

Are you listening with intent to listen?

There is a time every day where you might be needed by someone to listen to them.

There is a statistic just recently released that we as humans are actually day dreaming or as it is said mind wandering 47% of the time of our life.

That means when someone is talking to us.

We hear them only on average half that time.

Wow mind blowing really!

And now flipping the coin, it means that people only listen to you half the time you are speaking.

Step 3

Practice active listening.

Try tuning attention.

Every time your mind wanders, say "What was I focusing on"?

This will command your mind back to hearing with intent,

Step 4

Talking with intent and story telling.

When we are wanting others to listen to us, we need to have a precise speech.

We must be direct and stick to the topic.

Bringing the attention of our audience back to focused.

Step 5

Think like the mind of a 6 year old

Be playful, and have fun, without the concept of judgement.

Let go of limiting stories we have about ourselves.

Step 6

Find Shared Common Ground.

Shared space for community chi

Thanks very much my friends

Let me know what you do to bring liberation to your day and daily activities?

Thank You, Erica. This message is spot on. On a whole, most humans do not take care of themselves on so many levels that they have no idea how to do it at all. They might do one thing one time, another time, something else a third, fourth, tenth, etc... But it is not consistent, or even necessarily mindful when they do it. I have just realized that for the best results in doing/following a self-care regimen, we should be Mindful of what we are doing and why we are doing it so that we can pay attention to it. That way we might be able to remember why we did it.

I am not sure if I am saying the last line correctly, I might mean another word. (?)

Absolutely Jd,

I appreciate your comments here.

Yes, most people neglect self care and this is why the hospital system needs to do what it does for every department that a hospital can cater for.
People are generally so taken away from self care regimes and consumed with urgency.

Self care is not necessarily about what someone looks like, but how they are feeling mentally, physically, spiritualty and within the community socially.

That is why more companies across certain countries are introducing more care for the workers keeping in mind even the environment being part of the overall productivity of their employees, plus health, security and safety. (HSSE)

Being mindful is very powerful for sure. Being aware of senses and feeling every signal the body mind spirit receives about the Whole Human.

Kind regards
Erica

Hi, Erica. All I can say is, yep. I agree completely. :)

Very good article

Thanks so much Kathie for your comments here, I appreciate it.

Erica,

You read my mind. Today I wanted to focus on doing an assessment to see where I stand in 2023. I don't want to make the same mistakes of last year. So, for me, I decided to avoid all forms of negativity and listen to and connect with positive people.

Negative energy can throw your personal equilibrium off.
Also, I am going to do more active listening while in conversation with a person, or while doing the WA courses, video, and also, actively reading other blogs.

It is good to keep a balance of our social life (Wealthy Affiliate community) and at the same time, be able to keep up with your posting, email and our online business.
It is a juggling act.

Excellent post and I love the fly animation,

Rachele

Hello Rachele,

Thanks so much for you comments here.

I do appreciate your view on negative energy. It can be a challenge to not absorb it sometimes. And the more I continue self care awareness I am more aware that sometimes it is not my energy that is draining me, but that of others that are not aligned with their true potential.

Your so right life is a big juggle. And hence we need our emotions to be in check with our goals.

Kind regards
Erica

Eric,

I love reading your blogs. You continue to add amazing, positive value to this incredible community.

Through the years I've had some really valuable relationships and by now I can sort out the bad apples and I have no problem discarding them.

Gotta protect my own space and sanity. Pointing fingers and gossiping is not my cut of tea.

Your 5 closest associates define who we are. That's why I only have a few quality people around me.

2023 is the breakthrough year so we got to ready for it, right.

Thanks for the thought - provoking post.

Rachele
p.s. I'm tuning in to listen intently to people spreading positive energy. I'll will soak it up!

Hello Rachele,

Thanks so much for your comments, I really appreciate your point of view.

I think it is so important to have relationships where they are advocating for you, especially behind your back.

Since I had many years of trauma (not drama) as some people might say! Trauma teaches you more about boundaries ,and being complacent about that is dangerous, Unfortunately sometimes some people have no choice as they are victims of a perpetrator.

It has been 14 years away from trauma and in recovery and this is why I am so passionate about Self Care and Self Determination.

Tuning into the Whole scene where you meet people in a shared space is great it teaches you to pick up on the suttle energies of people. And you can easily learn new strategies of listening.

I use to grab a table anywhere and get a coffee and just sit and listen to people passing by. It gives perspective.

I love reading your blogs too Rachele and I always love seeing your comments thanks.

Your right 2023 is going to be a Great Year! Lets keep celebrating the wins. 🙌

Kind regards
Erica

Erica,

You have an amazing resilient spirit, you are empathetic, and you are a deep thinker. I clearly understand about trauma, I've had my share of trauma, living in the projects, coming from a dysfunctional family.

What's the saying - "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." Kelly Clarkson is right. We rise from the ashes and emerge victorious. The human spirit is resilient, and I love how we rise. Silverflamze power. The thunder from down under!

Self Care and Self Determination it is in 2023!

Rachele
