Difference Between Making Money and Making Nothing At All.

Hey everyone.

It's been a while as I have been busy with my websites outside of my bootcamp site (Shweetlife), but I am still around WA on a daily basis... Lurking in the background ;) hehe

Anyway, I learned a little lesson last night and wanted to share it with you...

So here it is...

**The smallest change could be the difference between making money online and making nothing at all.**

What do I mean?

Well. I have a post that is ranking for a product along side Amazon on Google's first page (Thank you WA!!). This post for the last month or two has been driving around 1500 - 1800 visitors per month and generating sales almost daily...

I'm sitting here smiling just thinking about each time I log in and the numbers keep going up. But... yip. There is always a 'but'...

At the beginning of this month my sales from the post dropped to a big fat ZERO :(

I found this strange as my traffic was still increasing and CTR (Click through rate) was unchanged.

A week later I started thinking my affiliate links may be broken. So I checked these and they all turned out to be just fine.

Frustrated and still confused why almost 2 weeks into the month I had not made a sale from the post... I had a deeper look into the post and what may have changed...

I followed each of the product links from my comparison review to Amazon as though I was a visitor finding the post for the first time...

HEY! It suddenly slapped me square in the face...

Amazons prices increased for the products at the beginning of this month. This meant that my displayed prices for each product were now lower than the Amazon sales page that I was linking to.

Could it really be that simple?

I increased the displayed pricing on my review to that of Amazon or more (Supplier list price). Hit 'update'. Closed my laptop and went to bed...

Woke up this morning and BAAMMM... 2 new orders from that post. :)

Something so small... Yet for the last 2 weeks it was the difference between bringing home the bacon and eating two minute noodles...

So what am I getting at here...

Well, I think it was Einstein who said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again, and expecting different results"... or something along those lines.

What you learn here at Wealthy Affiliate works...

Content is King and without quality targeted traffic, it will be impossible to make sales.

However... If you have quality content and are driving quality traffic by the boat loads to your content, but still not making sales...

Maybe it's time take an outsiders look at your content to see where you could improve it or be missing something.

If you are tweaking things with the intent of increasing conversions/ sales... Change only one thing at a time and then give it a week or 4 to see the impact.

Lastly, It took me almost 10 years to find Wealthy Affiliate and my results continue to grow daily thanks to Kyle, Carson, Jay and the community... Your commitment and dedication here will pay off...

Most importantly, keep on keeping on... You may only be the smallest step from making money... If you stop today, tomorrow may have been the day you make your first sale... And you would never know...
