Don't Use Your Real Email Address On Your Contact Info: The Number 1 Reason Why
Why You Shouldn't Use Your Real Email Address
Ok, here is the thing, you should never ever use an email address you use for other logins like Facebook, Paypal or even Wealthy Affiliate on your contact pages....
Now the reason is simple, it's because it's bound to happen that people will use that email address to potentially hack you, spam you or otherwise try to get into your email account.
Now if you are someone that uses the same email account and password for everything then you are risking your entire business...
I have been guilty of this in the past as well and it wasn't until I actually got hacked that I really woke up.
What should you do instead?Instead, take advantage of the website email address you can create within Wealthy Affiliate and use that email address solely for letting people contact you and nothing else.
This way if that email does get hacked your other accounts on your other platforms won't be in danger. Not only this but people may spam the crap out of you and if it is on your main account then you are going to be in a world of pain. So play it smart and create a seperate email address for people to reach you.

In have been thinking of the same thing and hopefully get it done before it is too late. I set up my domine email acc and forwarding email, but I am lose to how to get my WA emails to stop going to my personnel email and go to this email for business. I was thinking that I need to change the email in the WordPress from my personnel email to my domains email?
Hmm sounds like you are trying to do something more technical If you wanted to go that route I'd first just try to contact WA support on it. But for myself, I keep it completely separate. Meaning I have one email solely for communications where people can contact me and one email solely for my different accounts and platforms that I use for my business.
I keep them separate so I don't confuse which email came from which account etc...
But if you can figure a workaround for it then good for you
Manage your domain emails on Google through a free Gmail account other than your personal Gmail address. You need to delete the Email Forward that you created before creating a New Email Mailbox.
The following from Jerry is one of the best step by step training that you can find: How to Add New Email Account to Gmail - Configuring POP3 and SMTP at Gmail Tom
I use Gmail for such things, then I set up forwarding to my private email. Within Gmail, you can also set up filters, that'll only allow certain emails through.
I use the email addresses on WA, but didn't really realise the importance until I read your blog. So thanks for sharing.
Very true! Something that I still need to rectify!
