SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. It's a methodology of strategies, techniques and tactics to rank high in search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Doing keyword research and writing keyword based content falls into this category. It's a crucial part if you want to rank high as the majority of the people searching the web usually don't look further than page 2.
SEO helps search engines to find your website much faster and therefore ensures quicker rankings and indexing.
QSR is an acronym for Quoted Search Results and means the competition of your keyword. The lower it is, the better the chances are that you rank higher with the particular keyword. It's good to keep it under 400, better under 300. If it's 400 and above, there are too many websites competing under the same keyword and you may have a hard time to rank high in search engines.
