Are you a Freelancer?
Hello WA community....I am happy to say, I am back on track and have published 3 posts in the past 3 weeks on my site (two of which were reviews which are very time consuming) and completed phase 4 of boot camp. I am currently researching to write an article for freelance work and was wondering if anyone in the community does any type of freelance work in addition to their own websites and if so do you use a platform like Fivar, Guru, upwork ect...to promote your work and get jobs? If so I would love to use some of your testimonies in my website article and even promote the work you do as a freelancer. I look forward to hearing from you and have a great weekend!

I do freelance work as a guest blogger or ghost writer but am not about to sell my soul $5 at a time like the folks on Fiverr do. I currently offer those services through TripleClicks and will soon add them to my listed services on my blog as well, once my weekly newsletter is taking off.
I am freelancer, but in a whole other type of work, I work as freelancer in the childdaycare. I am not advertising for more children to take care of, and I am trying to replace my daycare income with online income, because the children I take care of now, are getting older and in about 2 years from now, the oldest will stop attending the daycare, so I am working towards a replaced income by then:)

You do some very important freelance work in a very demanding yet rewarding field. Would love to use this as a possible parallel example to online freelancing though. How long have you been doing this type work? Is it profitable and how long did it take to start getting work?
I do this from 2009 full time, it took 0 days, because people asked me to start babysitting their children, I was freelance working in cleaning houses, and babysitting looked me much more appealing, within a month I went from 2-6 children, for 3 years, that was my top time of earnings, I earned about €3000 a month, then a few moved outof the area, and now I am earning €1000 a month, that's also because all children are on school nowadays, a few years back they where here all day. My husband has an income too, so my income is additional.
I work on an additional income online now, to replace my daycare earnings.

Just need to know a few details like what type of work you do, how much do you charge, has it been profitable and worth the time spent doing it? How long did it take you to start getting work on Fivar and do you like and/or dislike about that site? If I use your story as an example in my article I can link readers to your Fivar profile.

Sorry got side tracked with Jay's webinar. Ok go to the 'Need Help' box at the top of the page and type in boomergp08. He has lots of good training too. I did a before and after. When boomer appears in the box just click on it. Note that I managed to lose your question when I came back from the webinar. I found it by typing freelancer into the box and your question was there (I left it in to show you that you can search for any member or anything else there. If you don't find what you want then you can go and ask your own question. Be specific though so people don't have to come back to you to find out what you really want.)
When you click on the image you will get a down arrow on the bottom right. Click on this to expand the image. Then search your screen to see where it went! I find my enlargements at the bottom left of my screen.
I have been looking into those like upwork.. I just get frustrated answering all the questions..
I know the setting up your profile can be quite tedious. But if you stick with it and I may end up being financially rewarding.

I think this is along the lines of what you are needing.
I have been a freelance blogger since 2004 and currently charge around $30 per 1000 word article and have charged as much as $80 for a single review post plus a copy of the product for review. Rates often depend on who needs the review, amount of research required, turnaround required, and if the content is on monthly contract or just a once off..
