Site Content Tip For Beginners

Hey everyone!

As I go through the Boot camp again I have noticed many questions in chat about not being able to edit your post or page once you have published it through Site Content.

This is correct and nothing is broken!

Once you publish it you must make any changes to the article or post directly through your website's back office.

If you need help on this let me know and I will create a tutorial on it if needed.

Yeah, I've seen that question come up many times, also. If you created it, you can revise it.

Exactly!

There are two things that get me about site content you can not add media there. In the back office i would like to see a spell check. Just saying.

Use Grammarly's free version. I use it and love it.

And there is a link right in Site Content to take you there titled "Published: Edit Here"! Yeah!!

That is correct but so many people are missing that!

I love Site Content the more I use it. It Rocks!!

Looking forward to trying it :)

Have not fully integrated it yet. Still using G doc.

I usually use the WP editor myself

I have just translated the document before I publish

:)

Yes. What I needed it because I have to go through Bootcamp.

Awesome!

True. I write in Site Content but don't publish there. I copy/paste to the site editor, tweak everything and publish when ready. I don't use images in there because they show up as big as billboards. Still it does serve a purpose.

I am interested in trying it out.

Definitely try it! Many peeps here swear by it.

I do plan on giving it a try

I get totally confused by images. They are great to find and pull up within Site Content, but you have no any idea how big they are going to be and whether they'll look the same on your website once you have published the page...

I have training on using and SEOing images if you would like it.

Yes, please.

Many thanks!!!

Many welcomes :)

Yes we need guidance after the content is sprung loose from the publishing key!

On the way!

Many thanks Shawn......yes, if you feel up to doing it. I for one, would devour it. Need all of the technical side help I can get. And I have been wondering too, how editing can be accomplished, post publishing.

OK< I will get one put together later this afternoon. :)

Great Shawn......will look forward to seeing it. Also site title.......how is that revised to include a logo from Canva?

W

When i publish, I then edit in word press, and add my images, have not gotten grip on images from site content yet...
Thanks for this..

stay humble & kind,
riley

I have not messed with it at all yet, just read all about it in the phase one training.

It is a great suggestion. I believe some new WA community members will be grateful for your help.

I will give it a spin :)
