Memorial day
Today I not a day to say thank you for myself but more of day to show the veterans appreciation for their service and to pay respect to those who gave their life for the sake of piece.
My father was a POW in Vietnam for 2 years so I know that the respect we give them on this day and any day means the world. My hats off to those who are serving in the armed forces now and to those who has been in the military in the past.
I feel that we really should take better care of our veterans from a state and government standpoint. Have better benefits, better hospitals, etc.
Much respect goes to those who decided to be in the military and fight when no one else would, sacrificing everything for what they believed in.
All in all, I hope you have a blessed day.

The brave and fallen comrades made the initial sacrifice for those presently to benefit in terms of freedom , peace and harmony , Sentiments and prayers to all their loved ones. Their efforts were not in vain.
It's up to us to show how their life's blessings and gifts to us make us string and we are not to forget that.....I feel blessed each and everyday.
I can remember during Vietnam War wearing a band with a poW's name on it and always honor the military on Memorial Day
Super post! My boyfriend's father served in Vietnam (3 tours there) and my boyfriend served in the Army (combat) for more than 20 years! Yes, many gave their lives while serving but I do not think most people realize the price that those who did return home paid as well -- my boyfriend suffers from PTSD as well as a number of other health issues. You would never know it to just pass by him, but his struggles are very real and difficult! We do need to take better care of our veterans -- they have earned it!

Thank you for your acknowledgement to the many brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice and also to those still serving.
