Hi there. Are you all there doing fine? Two days ago I have received a suggestion on my Adsense account that my side http://amazingzon.org

Page Speed Insights detects my server response time is above 200 ms, it must be under this. I am not sure why, I have 11 plugins activated, is it because of that?

Can anyone have any idea about this? what to do to reduce server response time? If possible help me view my site, is it too slow as what Adsense have said?

Thanks in advance,

Seth

Hi Seth,

11 plugins activated is most likely the issue. One of the plugins is most likely trying to connect to an external server which is something that can really affect page load times.

There are only a handful of plugins that anyone would ever need. What you can do is disable all of the plugins, and test the page speed. Then start turning them on one at a time to determine which one is slowing things down.

Thank you Carson.

Thanks a lot Carson but how can I test those plugins. sorry, I am on a job and a bit busy that is why I am late to reply.

Log into your WordPress admin area, and visit the plugins page. you can deactivate all of your plugins there. Once the plugin are disabled, turn them on one-by-one, and view your website. If you're seeing slow response times or the page load times begin to get slower as you activate plugins, you'll know which ones are causing issues.

Thanks a lot, I will try.

Hi, I just did as what Carson have suggested and it works. Thanks a lot to all, this was one of the lesson I have just learned. I have removed two plug in out and I will look for a better one to replace them.

Featured comment? That's cool. Anyway I run into this sort of problem from time to time and these are all very good suggestions.

When my site slows down, I do exactly what Carson suggested and disable all plug-ins and put them back one at a time. I see a lot of problems here at WA that are due to plug-ins. I try to get along with as few as possible, although some of them are really good.

Thanks a lot Carlalves.

It runs with a lag, so something is slowing it down.
Very possibly the plug-ins you have installed.
Some plug-ins are resource pigs.

Thanks a lot Ken for your concern.
