Where I have been for the past 2 weeks

Last Update: December 13, 2013

In case you guys haven't noticed I have been offline for about 2 weeks due to me moving to a new apartment. The cable company screwed up and the guy that was supposed to put in my work order didn't do his job so I had to call them and find out what happened. Being offline all that time has really been killing me and it made me appreciate what I have even more. The little things like having internet access is really important especially if you are running an online business. I am thankful for a dear friend that let me get on their computer every few days to check on my business and keep things running smooth while I was away.

How did my my business do while I was away?

To my surprise my business didn't suffer one bit while I was away and I continued to make consistent sales every day and my rankings actually went up instead of down. My traffic has also increased since I was offline which was really surprising to me. I was afraid that since I wasn't able to blog like I usually do that I might drop in rank and lose traffic but it was the complete opposite. Having an online business is the best kind of business to have because if you work at it consistently and keep adding content to your website it will run on autopilot while you are away.

What kind of business can you leave for 2 weeks and still continue to make money?

I don't know of any other business that you can take off for 2 weeks and still continue to make constant sales daily and keep getting new customers in the door then an online business do you?

The purpose of this blog post is to let everyone here know that the training here at WA works if you are willing to put in the time and effort. Like Kyle has mentioned in his post a few weeks back all you need is time. If you are willing to commit yourself to doing this and you treat it like a business and understand that you will get out of this what you put into it then you will be very successful.

I am very grateful for WA and I owe everything to Kyle and Carson for creating such an awesome community here. I don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for the awesome boot camp training and I am looking forward to 2014 as being an even better year than 2013 was.

I would love to hear your comments about this and anything that you would like to add to it. I will be following up this blog with another blog about my progress for the year so be looking out for that as well.

Hi Scott, I am glad things are getting back to normal for you. I am sure that even though your WA business didn't suffer, that you went through some anxiety over what was going on. It is kinda like raising boys, if you can't see what they are up to it is hard to think about anything else.

Thanks Rick,
I was worried about my business the entire time but I had faith that it would be fine until I got back online. You are right when you say that if you can't see what's going on you will just sit there and think about it non stop. That is exactly what I did.

That is so cool and partly why I am doing this also. Like the cooking TV infomercial,
Set it and forget it, sort of, eh?

You are so right Donald.

I love that phase set it and forget it. That's not exactly the case here but it did happen to work out for me like that in this particular situation.

Incredible and wonderful! When you think about it - this really is the only type of business you can be away from and have it grow. It's great to hear from you on what happened.....makes putting the work in (with no seen results) easier to deal with daily!

You are absolutely right man!

Having an online business is everyone's dream, but the problem is people don't wanna take the time to build it and watch it grow they want it NOW. That's not the way it works and that is the main reason why over 90% of the people who try this end up quitting after a month or two.

Stick with this man and it will definitely pay off for you in due time.

Hi Scott. This is great news for everyone as we build out our sites. I neglected one of mine for a few months and it is taking a lot of work to get it back up and running smoothly again. That being said, I checked a number of my posts that I knew were on Page 1 before and, yup, there they still are (mostly). So I agree, the training works but we also need to be diligent in keeping our sites fresh and relevant. BTW...welcome back :)

Hey Rick,
Yes I was very surprised that I was not only able to hold my rank but I went up some which is crazy. I guess that Google must really like me lol. I agree that we must be consistent in writing content and keeping the site up to date.
