Un-rushed and returning for a "Long Game"

I joined WA about a year ago, and at the time I was in a bit of a rush to make money.

I had a lot of pressure on me. I was unemployed, my father was dying of cancer 800 miles away, and I could barely afford to go and be with him.

In my panic and desperation, I pushed myself to finish the lessons fast, short-changed a lot of the exercises, and finally gave up, frustrated with how slowly the process was going.

I did find some meager success in the beginning, and blogged about it, but after my father passed, I just didn't have the inspiration to go back to it.

Until now.

Don't really know what inspired me to start up again, but I'm back to looking at why I wanted to do this business in the first place. Working from home, helping people on my own terms. It's very appealing.

One bit of encouragement is that little page that I found success with last year. It has been working hard for me ever since. After that initial $23.64, it's been bringing in about the same amount consistently every month.

One month I made about $5, another month almost $60.

I think about how much would be coming in if I had continued writing a page a week. How many pages would I have making money for me? How much money would be coming in.

Looking back on the past year like that has me looking forward to the next year in the same manner. If I write that page a week for the next year, what kind of year will I be looking back on NEXT year?

Today, I commit myself to the Long Game. A little bit every week is all that it will take.

See you all, and me, next year.

You're a great writer Scott, I had a look at that webpage you made money from and it's great - you really do deserve any commissions you make. Sorry to hear about your Dad. I wish you much success with this whole endeavor, you've clearly got what it takes to succeed!

Thank you, Jolie. Sweet of you to read and post such an encouraging comment! I hope we can stay in touch, and that I can return the favor. :-)
