Do "Pretty Link" links get penalized by Google?
I doubt it because mine never do. But I guess if they did it would probably have to do with whatever type of link you are trying to cover up. If the link is a notoriously spammy link, pretty links will not help.
Thanks. I'm just using them for affiliate links, but was wondering if several of them on one page would penalize the page somehow.
They go to the same product, but at different online sellers. Perhaps it's a bad tactic to give readers options of where to buy. I've been wondering if I should provide only give one affiliate link per product. Too many options might reduce response.
I would only go with one affiliate. Giving your readers too many options for the same product is not a good idea.

Google tried that a few weeks ago but it only lasted a few days and there was such an outcry Google backed down. whether they will in the future is anyone's guess.
Interesting they'd respond to such an outcry. I guess they're not to big for their britches after all. ;-)
Thanks!

My posts with keywords in the title don't rank. However, my home page and pages with links to those posts DO rank for the keywords in the post title. It's very strange, and is n
Hey Scott I was having some indexing problems for my last few posts. Maybe this will help. Once I did this, it showed up right away, I was like hey this works. lol Hope this helps :)

Hi Scot! First off, getting your posts ranked takes time. It depends on the keyword you have chosen and the competition you have that influences the amount of time needed for your posts to appear in the first few pages of the search engines. Yahoo is even more strict it seems because it took me a few months before they would index my post.
Are your posts " indexed " by Google already? That would answer your question. If you submit your sitemap.xml file the indexing of your posts happens much quicker. There's a good plugin that allows you to do just that. It's called XML-sitemap. I hope this helps :)

Why do my posts not rank but pages linked to them do?

Plug-ins for social sharing sure make the process of posting to all your social networks a lot easier.
For example, JetPack's "Publicize" feature, and NextScripts "Social
I would stay away from anything that automates things.
This is just my opinion but automated programs usually screw things up at one point in time.
Doubt you would be penalized for using such software as it is just submitting information to your social sites.
With that said Google does not use social signals when it comes to determining rank anyway so if you're using it for that it's not going to help you in anyway regarding that.
I use G+ simply to let my followers know I have new content - I am now just starting to use Twitter for that as well. Can't hurt.
Just my 2 cents, hope it helps

Are autosharing plugins good or is better to post manually?

Does anyone out there have any experience with it? I was looking to share affiliate links to Hayneedle.com, and they are associated with both Commission Junction and Pepperjam,
I have used both in the past, though now I use Pepperjam (Now called Ebay Enterprise Affiliate Network). I had a good experience with both, but I do prefer Ebay Enterprise.
What is the pepperjam affiliate network?

Not sure why they did, can't ever recall them backing down before or since
