Celebrating my 6 Month WAnniversary!
Hello my fellow freedom seekers, it has been a while my friends!
Well I logged on to catch up, on a very rare day that I actually have time to come write. As I did so, I was informed that this week marks 6 months since I joined this wonderful community!! It seems like much longer. I have to confess that it has been two months since I wrote a post here, and I have missed it.
Unfortunately the realities of life took over times got tough, with my car nearly being repossessed and us having to sell belongings for food. I don't tell this story for sympathy, however I know that many of you are struggling for money to pay for membership, and have to do multiple jobs as well as trying to fit in writing and learning here at WA. I tell you this to motivate you never to give up.
I had to get a second job. This has meant I have had to struggle to manage having two children and two jobs, and this left very little time to write and learn. In the past I may have pushed myself to keep going and continued to get up at 5am to write, exhausting myself in the process. However, something told me to take a break from WA and focus on getting out of the hole so that I could one day fly again.
So as of today things are looking much more positive, my two jobs are hopefully going to become one from January, as after 4 weeks, I was offered a promotion and a permanent 30 hour contract, which brings with it a pay rise but more importantly instead of working the 50-hour week I am currently, I will be working 30 hours, which will give me lots of time to continue my training here and get back writing.
I have big dreams and lots of passion for this journey. I know this is 'the way' to the freedom and happiness I seek. However, I have also learned that you have to enjoy the journey too, embrace the now, even the hard times. If you can find the happiness regardless of the outside circumstances then you are already free.
My advice to all of you struggling financially. Believe in your passion, believe in your website(s). Get lots of feedback and follow the training, it works. However, initially you may have to continue the day (or night) job for a while.
I came here with a dream of one day being free of employment, of being controlled by a boss. Being free to choose what I do with my time and energy. What I have discovered is that I have that now, I always have a choice, yes there are consequences to those choices, but you always have a choice. So I choose to continue on this journey, and whilst I yearn for the day my websites fund my lifestyle, for now camping out in the valley is what is meant to happen. Everything is happening just as it was meant to.
Update on my website.
My website has proven that this works. I have given it very little attention in the last two months and yet it gives me a sale most days! I have had 16 sales in November so far through affiliating with Amazon. I love seeing the wonderful eclectic array of things my readers buy, from curtain poles to things for car engines! and my site is an organic baby site!
I love that I am receiving an income for very little input. And so I am looking forward to continuing to develop this website and to start my new website which is my passion project. My plan is to get them earning enough to pay my WA fee, which I am confident they will do within the year.
I am testament, that having faith and following your dreams will guide you to exactly where you need to be, which here and now. This present moment. There is only now and the choices you make. I am in debt, I have two employers and yet today, in this moment I know that I can choose to be happy, (and always could have been) and that I am free (and always was).
I leave you with the words of Joseph Campbell, 'Follow your Bliss'. Write about what you are passionate about, be happy with what you have and where you are in this moment and be grateful for it all, even the hard stuff.
I am truly grateful, I was guided here, to WA and the wonderful community and training that is offered. I am passionate and excited about where this will take me and I look forward to the next 6 months!

Congratulations on your WAnniversary and congratulations on your promotion, that must be a wonderful feeling and I'm sure it was a 'no brainer' for them as they will certainly know a good thing when they see one and will not want to let you go.
It's so good to see you here, really, really. I have to sort some paperwork out from today (Car collection) and then I will drop you a line.
It is so good to be back, taking advantage of a very rare day off. next week I am working 7 days, which actually means 15 days in a row, between the two jobs. I am however, grateful for the abundance it brings and hope that my poor old body and mind can keep this going.
My self employed teaching/acting job wanted 12 weeks notice!! so I am now training my replacement whilst also taking on the new 30 hour team leader job at Maccie D's. Whilst also keeping in mind the medium and long game plan of freedom and purpose.
I honestly can't wait to be back, able to write and start my second website. The baby website has been severely neglected but shows so much potential, and the passion project is burning inside to get out into the big online world.
It sounds like you are filling your world with lots of 'other women' lol. How is it going combining your two passions? I notice you have now risen to the grand old rank of Ambassador, which is thoroughly deserved!
It really has been wonderful to be back in the WA community, it is always like coming home.

Throw into all that, the holiday season that is looming up. You will be fine-tuning your multi-tasking skills to levels never before seen.
Luckily 'Jess' the XJS has a cover over her, so didn't see me sidle up with Ziva, earlier today.
Projects, content and inspiration will be simmering nicely. You know what's good about all of this ? That there's no predetermined time limit. It will happen when it does and that will do just fine.

Sara, that is so inspirational for me! Thank you for sharing all of that.
I know I am currently spending a little too much time on WA and my websites (I just couldn't help experimenting with more than one so early) as I try to get my head around themes and more of the basics of what to have in a website, but also knowing that it is the written content that is going to make the biggest difference.
So that's the centre of my work now, developing the written content.
This does seem like such a great opportunity but like many are saying it takes the art of balancing it with the rest of our lives.
So hopefully we're not going to burn ourselves out, and slowly adjust to a reasonable and sustainable levels of productivity.
Congratulations on that promotion and upcoming freeing up of your time! I'm sure you're going to put it all to good use.
