When we have a positive attitude we experience pleasant and happy feelings. This brings brightness to our eyes, more energy, and happiness. Our entire self transmits friendliness, happiness and success. Even our health benefits from a positive attitude. We walk different, our voice is different, and our body language shows the way we feel.

Positive and negative thinking are contagious.

We affect, and are affected by the people we meet, in one way or another. This happens through words, thoughts and feelings, and through body language.

Do you ever wonder why we want to be around positive people and avoid negative ones?

People are more likely to help us, if we are positive, and they avoid anyone transmitting negativity.

Negative thoughts, words and attitude, create negative and unhappy feelings, moods and behavior. When the mind is negative, it causes more unhappiness and negativity. This is the way to failure, frustration and disappointment.

A positive person looks forward to happiness, health and success, and believes he or she can change anything coming their way.

Positive thinking is not accepted by everyone. Some people consider it as nonsense and even make fun about it, but there is a growing number of people, who accept positive thinking as a fact, and believe in its power.

To use it in your life, you need to understand it. You need to make the habit of having the attitude of positive thinking in everything you do.

Positive thinking is about much more than just being happy or having a positive attitude. Positive thoughts can actually create real value in your life and help you build skills that last much longer than a smile. In other words, negative emotions narrow your mind and focus your thoughts. When we think in a negative way our brains respond by shutting off the outside world and limiting the options you see around you. Negative emotions prevent your brain from seeing the other options and choices that surround you. In other words, when you are experiencing positive emotions like joy, contentment, and love, you will see more possibilities in your life. There’s no doubt that happiness is the result of achievement. Winning a championship, landing a better job, finding someone you love — these things will bring joy and contentment to your life. But so often, we wrongly assume that this means that happiness always follows success. In other words, happiness is both the leader to success and the result of it. People that are happy develop new skills, those skills lead to new success, which results in more happiness, and the process repeats itself. Positive thinking isn’t just a good feeling. Yes, it’s great to simply “be happy,” but those moments of happiness are also critical for opening your mind to explore and build the skills that become so valuable in other areas of your life.

Finding ways to build happiness and positive emotions into your life, whether it’s through meditation, writing, playing a game, or anything else, provides more than just a momentary decrease in stress and a few smiles.

Periods of positive emotion are when you see the possibilities for how your past experiences fit into your future life, when you begin to develop skills that turn into useful talents later on, and when you follow the urge for further research and adventure.

A very encouraging post. I try to be balanced about positive thoughts; they must be connected with reality. No point setting a positive goal that is unrealistic for where we are in life.
