I have a confession to make...

Two days ago, I was going to pack it in. I came very close to cancelling everything, taking my losses and running. Oh, so close!

I convinced myself that it was going to be, at least, another 6 months before I saw any real results and, to be honest, I wasn't overly excited about that. It's very disheartening to work so hard and see nothing in return.

I know better though...so what the heck was going on?

  • I knew I wasn't going to make money overnight.
  • I knew I had to work my butt off before I would see results.
  • I knew it wasn't going to be a walk in the park.
  • I knew I would get frustrated over and over again.

I have come to the conclusion that I am frustrated because I'm not able to put in the time here at WA. My summer to date has been a whirlwind and it looks like things will be swirling for awhile yet.

The moral of the story: I took some deep breathes, regrouped and decided I'm not in a race.

Will I feel like quitting ever again? To be honest...most likely...Yes.

For now...I will keep plugging along.

I think that is everyone motto here...never give up!

Hi Sandy,
I'm just really glad you chose to hang around. I relate to what you are going through but you are doing super great. I feel bad when I read "Day 15 of the training" and I'm more than 2 months in, but it isn't a race and if it is the turtle kicked that hare to the curb in the fable so who do you think we should replicate????
Keep smiling,
Jo

We all have those times Sandy. It is great you blogged about it, so we can all see we're not alone. Take care, keep plugging away :)

Don't give up

You only fail when you give up, so as long as you never give up you will never fail. You never know when your time is due

You definitely kept this one real Sandy. Thomas Edison once said: "...Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up..." So I say, keep plugging along >>> Success Coming Soon!

Wishing you success in abundance...

Summer is a whirlwind for me as well. This is my 1st summer here too so I wasn't prepared. Soon it will be Fall and it will hold it's own activities so all we can do is keep at it one day at a time or should I say one moment at a time.

One day at a time...sounds good to me. Thanks for your support, Sui

Sandy,
Thank you for sharing this post ... I'm can certainly identify with your feelings as I'm sure many others can. However, as you stated, we were not promised overnight success and it is undoubtedly going to take hard work, but we're in a great community with exceptional training and resources, so keep the faith and keep plugging along.
Best wishes,
Patrick

Thanks Patrick...you are absolutely right. Thanks for you comment.

I know how you feel and when that happens I just write a new Post and WA always make me feel better all the best

It's funny you say that because...I told myself I would reply to the last group of emails from WA ie: posts, follows etc then...I was done. Once I started replying, I realized I didn't want to quit after all. :)

I can sooooooo relate to ya'! I've been here over a year and a half and I know exactly what you're saying. My problem is that I have so much other stuff going on that when I do have time to sit down and write content, I'm not disciplined enough to walk away from all the distractions like TV and cell phone. The one thing that will help me is if I go back and redo lesson 4 of Phase 1 Boot Camp. I have such a rough time coming up with things to post about or review on my site that promotes WA. I sometimes just get stuck in the mud for days.

But here's the deal, Sandy... about a week ago I happened across my Amazon Affiliate account that really hadn't done much more than $25 in sales at last glance 3 months ago. This time when I opened it up, I about fell off my chair. I couldn't believe how many sales I'd converted off my original C&FC; website. What this tells me is that everything that I learned from the Getting Started Certificate Training totally works.

So I'm going to not get so frustrated with Boot Camp right now and when I stall out there I'm going back over to C&FC; and add more reviews and items on my product page. I'll probably be doing a few more videos to accompany my products and/or reviews.

My C&FC; site is easy enough to write content for because it's something that I enjoy so much and am always learning and experiencing more of... it just kinda flows when I just sit down and get into.

The other thing I'm eventually going to do is find several niches that I can really get into and then duplicate C&FC; with each one and get some product sales going on them.

Don't know if any of this helps but kinda helps me to actually write it out and formulate a plan!

Gotta tell ya', I've enjoyed having ya' here with us!!! (-:

keep going forward Sandy, you've put so much time in thus far, finish the course and see what happens. Best of luck
Todd

Thanks for your encouragement, Todd. I'm going to keep going!

Hi Sandy! I know the feeling, my summer has been the same way! But I am determined to work around it the best I can, so I can keep on making money (unemployment is over as of this week, ugghh!). Needless to say I am up until very late at night...because of a very busy little 8 year old. (I seem to have a job as his Social Manager lately!lol). You'll get there...you're right, it is NOT a race! Lori

Thanks so much for your comment. I'm sure there are many WA members who have the same issue. I feel a little silly for whining.
