Ive always deleted this widget but I notice on my latest theme that there is no RSS link available except if I use the META widget. I dont see the point of having Wordpress lin

no to the main question
delete the beggar to the last question
RSS feed button is the answer
Your Wordpress site has a feed by default
the subscriber will need an RSS reader installed

Oh thanks Shawn, that's awfully helpful. Looks like I'll be setting up "Subscribe by Email" links on all my sites next!

It works really well for computers.

I would also set up the RSS feed too because then you will be mobile friendly, as RSS makes it possible to view ion the visitors choice of reader.

RSS is old school I have heard that is not worth using now and I always remove my meta widget but that is just me.
