What can you learn from comment threads on WA? Share your content and contribute to the community.

I think my brain is about to explode. I spent the day yesterday, touring around the comment threads here on WA. My three favorite comment threads are:

These three threads give me the opportunity to see what other people are posting about, tour around their sites, get ideas for my own sites, and also give me the opportunity to post comments on their sites. It’s been said (probably by Kyle) that you should not underestimate the value of comments on your websites. One reason to post comments on other people’s websites is that these comments will give you a link back to your own website. Links from other websites give you more authority and increase your sites ranking in the search engines.

A great reason to post a link to your own site or post and seek feedback from others on WA is that you get the invaluable feedback from the regular contributors to these threads and you can give others the opportunity to reciprocate by posting comments on your site. Thus you give them links from your site back to theirs. The search engines see these links and “like”!

But back to the reason my brain is about to explode. In having such a good look around the internet on all these WA members’ sites, I’ve been getting so many ideas for posts on my own sites. My main site is in the Goal Setting and Self Improvement niche, and I’ve been feeling a bit limited by the niche lately. But now I have ideas popping into my brain, left, right and centre!

I can post about my newest goal – to go camping (thanks for that https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/heyyou1). You should check out his excellent site at http://campingwithease.com/fire-a-campfire-how-to. So armed with all the knowledge I’ve found from his website (this guy’s only been on WA since 2/1/2014, can you believe!), I’m feeling all confident about trying a camping trip with my little boy. I haven’t been camping since I became a mother, and I always had a man in charge of the trip, so I didn’t have to “know” everything. Well now, I don’t have the man anymore, and I now need to “know” everything – but I’ve got the ultimate tool in his site! Thank you HeyYou1! And what a great idea it’s given me for a post in the Goal Setting and Self Improvement niche – “How to move outside your comfort zone and try something new like Camping”. Monetizing this post should be really easy and it gives me an opportunity to post links to something other than self improvement products (books mainly).

Another idea smacked me (in the shower, where thoughts tend to flow as fast as the hot water) after reading the newspaper. It’s Tennis season here in Melbourne where I live. The Australian Open is coming next week. How do Tennis players and elite athletes keep up their motivation? What a fabulous idea for a post in a goal setting and self-improvement website! Again a great post for monetizing with something other than books from Amazon.

My mind is bursting.

Gary’s “I hate debt” site inspired me to write about Financial Goals and I was happy to link to his site within my post. The search engines love it when you curate content from other sites and pass a link back to that site.

Fernando's http://financialfreedomops.com/ has so much help to offer with identifying online scams. How can I turn this into a post in the Goal Setting and Self-Improvement niche? Simple! Everyone should have a goal to ensure that they know how to protect themselves from identity theft and be safe offline and online. I'll happily write a post on Financial Freedom as a goal and link back to his site.

I guess the point(s) of this training is/are:

-Read widely, especially in your own niche, but also in unrelated niches – you never know where you’re going to find inspiration for your own site

-Visit sites in your own niche and also in unrelated niches and be sure to make intelligent and wise contributions to these sites when you comment – and, comment you MUST.

-Contribute to this community often and with a generous heart. Share your content and share your comments. Your comments will be appreciated more than you imagine.

-Post your own web pages - share your content - on the above three threads and get the invaluable reward of comments.

-Share the content that resounds with you with the wider internet community – put a like on Facebook or tweet it. Google +1 it! If you like the stuff you read online. Do the internet a favor and get it out there.

-Be generous with your comments on the comment threads and on the internet, and with your shares and likes, tweets and plus ones. This generosity of spirit is contagious and you will inspire others by your example, to do the same. This community and the internet-at-large can only benefit from such an attitude.

I haven’t yet found a use for the sex toys site, but I’m working on it.
